Alright, so with hypothyroidism and looking to improve your skin, hair, and energy levels, we gotta look into your diet and lifestyle in an integrated way. Now, especially cus your from South India, it’s great to incorporate local foods cus they’re more in harmony with your prakriti (constitution).

When it comes to fruits, go for ones like papaya, pomegranates, and apples. They are pretty versatile and provide nutrients that can both enhance skin health and balance your energetic needs. Papaya is excellent for digestion too, isn’t it? Plus, oranges can be nice for that vitamin C boost.

Seeds and nuts like almonds, pumpkin seeds, and walnuts should be your go-to options. Almonds, soaked overnight, can you consume in the morn; they are good for hair becaus of the vitamin E content. Walnuts are rich in omega-3s, support scalp health too.

Now about energy, whole grains like brown rice, millet, and quinoa help keep your blood sugar levels stable, which is pretty crucial for maintaining energy across the day. Also, lentils, dals and beans (properly cooked) are valuable for protein and calories. So legumes such as mung beans are quite nourishing.

For skin and hair too, we gotta think about hydration. Coconut water, it’s common in South India, right? Just eats away at dehydration and throws in those electrolytes!

Vitamin B12 and D are generally low in hypothyroid, make sure you get enough. Paneer, yogurt and warm spices like cinnamon and ginger will heat up your agni (digestive fire), boosting metabolism.

For calories and protein, if you’re looking at reversing hypothyroid it’s about balance: aim for maybe 2000-2200 calories depending ur activity level, 50-60 grams protein, but it’s a bit of trial and error. Practicing yoga can help balance thyroid function too.

Be patient, these changes and managing stress levels, really affect progress. Keep it consistent, observe how you feeling and adjust accordingly. Stay in tune with ur body.
