For seborrhea capitis, which is causing dandruff, itching, and hair fall, it’s vital to focus on balancing the Pitta and Kapha doshas. This imbalance often manifests as excess oiliness and inflammation in the scalp. One effective remedy is regular application of a hair mask made from neem paste. Neem has strong antifungal and antibacterial properties that help reduce dandruff and irritation. Grind fresh neem leaves to make a paste, apply it onto your scalp, leave it for 30 minutes, and wash with a mild Ayurvedic shampoo. Performing this twice a week can be beneficial.

Additionally, massaging the scalp with warm coconut oil mixed with a few drops of tea tree oil will help in reducing dandruff and strengthening hair follicles. Do this massage gently to stimulate blood circulation, which can help reduce hair fall. Leave it on overnight, then wash it off the next morning. Also, ensure you’re rinsing your hair with water infused with Indian gooseberry (amla). Boil dried amla in water, cool it, and use it as last rinse for its nourishing properties.

For dark circles, focus on improving your lifestyle and sleep patterns, as they can contribute significantly to this condition. Applying a paste of almond oil and honey under your eyes before sleep can help lighten dark circles due to the nourishing properties of almond oil and its richness in vitamin E. Make sure to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep, and manage stress levels through practices like yoga or meditation, which ultimately benefits your skin health too.

Diet plays a crucial role. Incorporate more fresh fruits and vegetables, especially those rich in antioxidants like berries, carrots, and spinach. Stay well-hydrated to flush out toxins and reduce inflammation. Avoid excessive intake of salty and processed foods, as they can exacerbate fluid retention and worsen dark circles.

Practicing breathing techniques such as Pranayama can also be beneficial for overall health and stress management. Remember that consistent efforts and patience are key when it comes to Ayurvedic remedies. If symptoms persist, it’s best to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner to tailor these recommendations further to your individual needs.
