Cushing’s syndrome-like symptoms you’ve noted could be related to a condition known as exogenous Cushing’s, which occurs after high doses of corticosteroids. When dealing with low cortisol in Ayurveda, the aim is to balance the doshas and support adrenal health gradually. Here’s some insights that might help.

First, examining your diet is crucial. Cortisol imbalance can sometimes stem from improper digestion or weak agni (digestive fire). Focus on foods that balance Vata and Pitta doshas. Include cooked meals that are easy to digest like rice, mung dal khichdi, or steamed vegetables. Incorporate ghee, known for nourishing dhatus, in moderate amounts. Avoid cold, raw, or excessively spicy foods that could increase Vata and Pitta.

Herbs such as Ashwagandha and licorice can be supportive for adrenal health. Ashwagandha is renowned for adaptogenic properties, helping to modulate the stress response. You may take Ashwagandha churna in warm milk every night or opt for capsules if preferred. Licorice root, given its potential to support natural cortisol production, is often used, but it’s better to consult with practitioner considering its effects on blood pressure.

Stress management is key – meditation, pranayama, and yoga can be quite beneficial. Pranayama, particularly Anulom Vilom or Nadi Shodhana, balances the nervous system. Practice gently each day, starting with a few minutes, gradually increasing as your comfort level allows.

Sleep needs to be adequate and rejuvenating. Create a calming bedtime routine, eliminating screens an hour before bed, perhaps try a warm bath. Abhyanga, or self-oil massage with sesame or coconut oil, can soothe Vata dosha and promote better rest.

Stay hydrated, but avoid excessive water intake, which may burden digestion. These lifestyle modifications and proper dietary habits may support your body in gently recalibrating. However, continue following up with your healthcare provider. If your symptoms worsen, immediate medical attention is necessary.

*Need to know your current status of ABPA? still continuing any medication for that? *How much was your S.Cortisol level when last checked ?

*Do you have any other discomforts like even tiredness?

Internally you can have 1.Guluchyadi kwatham tab 1-0-1 before food 2.Aswaganda tab 1 at bedtime 3.Thriphala tab 1-0-1 After food

Please Avoid junk foods, carbonated drinks, pickle, maida and its products Have adequate water, food on correct times, and proper sleep Practice Yoga/SURYANAMASKARA/Pranayama regularly which helps to stimulate your glands and manage stress.

Mam my current cortisol level is <1 but don’t know exact value . And I feel very tired after waking up .I am not using any medicine for ABPA. I gain 10 kg weight after using steroids.i feel dizziness also

Totally understood your situation, But in initial stage we have to follow steroid therapy because your cortisol level is low. Meanwhile you can push your body to heal by itself by doing Regular Meditation, Proper lifestyle, Good sleep proper water intake ,etc. Because As per Ayurveda These hormones are basically Vata Pita in nature so we have to focus on these two also. Your lifestyle modification will helps to regulate your hormonal metabolism which is needed now.
