AVP Rasudi - #33628

Lily

I am feeling really frustrated and lost right now, and I hope someone here can help me out. About a month ago, I started using AVP Rasudi because I've been dealing with some digestion issues. Like, it's been super rough—I have bloating and discomfort after almost every meal, which is just not fun. I heard great things about AVP Rasudi helping with these kinds of problems, so I thought, why not give it a shot? At first, I thought, “wow this is working!” My appetite seemed to improve, and my gut felt slightly better. But honestly, last week, I noticed the bloating came back, and it doesn't feel like it's helping as much as I hoped. I even reached out to a friend who's into Ayurveda, and she mentioned something about using AVP Rasudi in combination with other herbs or practices for it to be truly effective? Now I’m wondering, did I jump in too fast with just the AVP Rasudi? Is it normal to have ups and downs like this? Does it really take time? Should I be adding something else to my routine? I'm just looking for some guidance since I really want to make this work, you know?

Doctors' responses

Discussing digestive issues and the impact of AVP Rasudi, it seems like the supplement initially provided some relief. The return of symptoms could be indicative of a deeper imbalance that hasn’t been completely addressed. In Ayurveda, digestion is heavily tied to both agni (digestive fire) and dosha balance. An imbalance in Vata dosha, for example, can often lead to bloating and discomfort as you’ve described.

When using AVP Rasudi, it’s essential to support it with additional dietary and lifestyle adjustments that align with your prakriti (constitution) and current dosha imbalance. It’s not uncommon to experience fluctuations while your system adjusts. The key is consistent support that boosts your agni while balancing the dosha.

To enhance the effect of AVP Rasudi, consider incorporating the following into your routine:

1. Dietary Adjustments: Focus on warm, cooked meals that are easier for your system to digest. Avoid raw, cold foods, and include herbs like ginger and cumin, which support digestion. A pinch of hing (asafoetida) can also help in reducing gas and bloating.

2. Timing: Take Rasudi as per recommended dosages, ideally before meals. This ensures the herbs are aiding digestion as you consume food.

3. Hydration: Drink warm water throughout the day. Hot ginger tea can be particularly beneficial to ignite digestion.

4. Other Practices: Incorporate Abhyanga (self-oil massage) using warm sesame oil. This practice helps in balancing Vata and improving circulation.

5. Additional Herbs: Triphala is a good complement, taken at night, it mildly cleanses the digestive tract and supports regular bowel movement.

Be mindful of stress management as well. Stress can negatively impact digestion, so practices like pranayama or yoga might be helpful. Since each body responds differently, allowing some time for any adjustments and listening to feedback from your body is key. If symptoms persist, seek out a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner to deeper explore your unique constitution and needs.
