I am really curious about something and hope you all can shed some light on it! Recently, my grandpa was diagnosed with diabetes and he’s been feeling pretty down. We used to do foot massages together, and honestly, it always seemed to help him relax, but I’m worried that now it might not be a good idea. I heard some mixed opinions about foot massage, especially when it comes to diabetes. Is foot massage good for diabetics or does it create risk? He has some circulation issues too, and sometimes his feet get a bit swollen. It’s really hard to see him uncertain about what he can or can't do. Like, one day he says he feels a little numbness in his toes, and the next he just wants me to rub his feet after a long day. I’m also concerned about whether I should be cautious with pressure or specific techniques. Are there certain oils or herbs we should use during a foot massage or avoid? I guess I'm asking, is foot massage good for diabetics or is it better to err on the side of caution? I really want him to feel better but I don't want to make things worse! Help!
