21 mm Kidney Stone - #4380

Anonymously

I’ve been diagnosed with a 21 mm kidney stone, and I’m very worried about how to treat it. The doctors suggested surgery, but I’d like to explore natural remedies first. Is there any Ayurvedic treatment that can help dissolve or reduce a 21 mm kidney stone? I’ve heard that stones of this size are harder to manage, so I want to know if there’s a non-surgical way to deal with it. Does Ayurveda offer specific herbs or medicines for such large stones? I’ve read about Gokshura, Punarnava, and Pashanabheda being effective for kidney health, but are they strong enough to dissolve a 21 mm kidney stone? What kind of results can I expect, and how long would it take? I’m also curious about dietary and lifestyle recommendations for managing a 21 mm kidney stone naturally. Should I avoid foods like spinach and tomatoes, or are there other dietary restrictions to follow? Are there any yoga poses or exercises that help with kidney stone pain or passing stones? If anyone has experience dealing with a 21 mm kidney stone, especially through Ayurvedic treatments, I’d love to hear your story. Were you able to avoid surgery, and what worked best for you? Please share any tips or advice for handling a kidney stone this large.

A 21 mm kidney stone is quite large, and while Ayurveda offers natural remedies, dissolving stones of this size without surgery is challenging. Herbs like Gokshura, Punarnava, and Pashanabheda are commonly used in Ayurveda for kidney health, but they may not be strong enough to dissolve stones of this size entirely. These herbs may help reduce pain, inflammation, and improve kidney function, but the stone might not dissolve fully without more invasive treatment. For dietary recommendations: Avoid high oxalate foods like spinach, beets, and tomatoes, as they can promote stone formation. Increase water intake to help flush the stone. Reduce salt, animal proteins, and limit calcium-rich foods if advised by your doctor. In terms of yoga, gentle poses such as Supta Baddha Konasana or Setu Bandhasana may help with relaxation and pain relief. Avoid intense physical activity if you’re experiencing pain. Results from Ayurveda can vary, and it might take weeks or even months to see improvement. However, for a stone of this size, surgery might still be necessary if the stone does not pass on its own. Always consult your doctor for the best course of action.
