From an Ayurvedic perspective, anemia, known as ‘Pandu Roga’, often indicates an imbalance in the Pitta dosha and can be linked to poor digestion and assimilation of nutrients. Based on your blood results and classical ayurveda texts, a holistic approach is necessary to rebuild your blood health and balance these doshas.

Begin by focusing on a diet that supports your agni, or digestive fire. Incorporate foods rich in iron and easy to digest, such as cooked leafy greens (like spinach and kale), beets, figs, raisins, dates, and black sesame seeds. Avoid raw, excessively cold, or heavy foods; these strain digestion. Try cooking with spices like cumin, fennel, and turmeric, which might improve digestion and absorption.

Include a traditional Ayurvedic tonic called ‘Lauhasava’, known for supporting blood health. Lauhasava should be taken under the supervision of a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner. Start with 10-15 ml, diluted with an equal amount of water, after meals.

For lifestyle practices, prioritize regularity. Establish a routine for sleeping, eating, and working. Engage in moderate exercise like yoga or walking, which helps improve circulation and digestion. Ensure you stay hydrated and consider a routine that includes a brief walk after midday meals.

Finding time for meditation or deep-breathing exercises could also help reduce stress, which negatively impacts digestion and nutrient assimilation.

Since your iron level and blood count indicators are significantly low, coordinate with an allopathic doctor immediately to consider supplementary iron or other mainstream interventions. Integrate the Ayurvedic recommendations as a long-term strategy in conjunction with medical treatment, not a replacement, ensuring a coordinated effort for recovering your health.
