HELLO, For a 70 year old person with 8 months persistent fungal infection(feet, ankles, both legs) with mild but continuous itching, Ayurveda manages this as “dadru/lkandu-pradhana kushta” with focus on -kaphapitta shaman -blood purification -krimighna -local drying and healing Since it is chronic and not responding to oral allopathic medicines treatment should be systemic + local INTERNAL MEDICATIONS 3 MONTHS COURSE 1) AROGAVARDHINI VATI= 1 tab twice daily after meals with lukewarm water =corrects metabolism and chronic skin disorders 2) GANDHAK RASAYANA= 1 tab twice daily after meals =excellent for itching and recurrent fungal infections 3) KHADIRARISHTA= 15ml + 15ml lukewarm water twice dailyy after meals =blood purifier, reduces skin inflammation 4) NEEM GHAN VATI= 1 tab twice daily after meals =strong antifungal and antibacterial EXTERNAL APPLICATION.(very important ) MORNING -wash affected area with Triphala decoction or warm water -dry completely -apply Nimbadi taila or Chandrakala lepa thin layer NIGHT -apply Gandhak malam on lesions Area must be dry. Fungal infection worsens with mositure IF SKIN IS THICK/DARK/CHRONIC PATCHES ADD -KAISHOR GUGGULU= 1 tab twice daily after meals DIET -neem leaves 4-5 tender leaves morning -warm water throughout day -light, easily digestible food AVOID STRICTLY -curd -buttermilk -sweets -sugar -banana -brinjal -seafood -fermented foods LIFESTYLE ADVICE -keep feet dry -change socks twice daily -use separate towel -sun exposure to affected area mild morning sunlight -avoid scratching Before starting -check blood sugar -chronic fungal infection may be liked to diabetes If diabetes present, management must include sugar control EXPECTED IMPROVEMENT -Itching reduces in 2-3 weeks -lesions reduce in 4-6 weeks continue minimum 2-3 months to prevent recurrence DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU
