–These are milia — small, harmless, white bumps filled with keratin. They’re common, can persist for many years, and are usually painless. Since you’ve had them since childhood and they’re slowly spreading, they’re benign. Treatment isn’t medically necessary, but if you want them removed for cosmetic reasons, a dermatologist can safely extract them. Using a gentle skincare routine and moisturizing can help prevent new ones. Avoid harsh scrubs or heavy creams. —Rx— 1) Triphala Churna – 3 g at bedtime with warm water 2)Aloe vera gel / Yashtimadhu paste – apply thin layer twice daily 3)Coconut oil – lightly for dry skin once daily 4) Mahamanjishthadi kwath 15 ml + 15 ml water twice daily after meal —Advice: Gentle cleansing, avoid harsh scrubs and heavy creams. Warm, nourishing diet. —Follow-up: 4 weeks

Since your milia have been present since childhood and are slowly spreading, this appears to be a long-standing keratin retention issue rather than an inflammatory skin condition. Milia are small cysts of keratin under the skin and usually do not itch or cause discomfort. In Ayurveda, persistent milia can be linked to Kapha and Vata imbalances leading to skin dryness and accumulation of waste beneath the skin. Management usually focuses on: • Gentle exfoliation and cleansing – mild herbal scrubs or medicated pastes suitable for dry skin • Moisturization with nourishing oils – light oils like coconut or almond can help reduce dryness and improve skin texture • Internal support – herbs that support skin metabolism and detoxification, such as Triphala or Manjistha, can help maintain healthy skin • Avoid aggressive scrubbing or harsh chemicals – these may worsen dryness and slow healing Because your skin is dry and the condition is long-standing, a personal consultation is important to create a safe, gentle regimen that addresses your skin type, reduces milia formation, and prevents further spread.

1.Neem capsules 1 cap twice daily with water after meals 2.Manjistha churna 1/2 tsp twice daily with honey after meals 3.Aloe vera juice 10 ml twice daily with water after meals 4.Triphala churna 1 tsp at bedtime with warm water External Care— Aloe vera gel (you already use) is excellent for soothing. Neem oil or Kumkumadi Taila applied lightly at night can help reduce bumps. Gentle exfoliation with Triphala paste once a week may prevent new cysts. Diet & Lifestyle— Avoid heavy, oily, fried foods and excess dairy (they aggravate kapha). Favor bitter and astringent foods: karela, methi, spinach, pomegranate. Drink warm water, avoid cold drinks and late‑night eating. Practice yoga and pranayama (Anulom‑Vilom, Kapalabhati) to improve metabolism and skin circulation. WARM REGARDS DR. ANJALI SEHRAWAT
