Doctors' responses

melasma is mainly a Pitta + Rakta (blood) imbalance with some hormonal and liver involvement, so treatment needs to be internal + external + lifestyle together. Quick creams alone won’t give lasting results. 1)mahamanjishtadi kwath – 15 ml + equal water, twice daily after food Best for blood purification and reducing pigmentation 2)saarivadyasavam – 15 ml + equal water after lunch & dinner Excellent for Pitta-Rakta balance and skin glow 3)gandhaka rasayanam – 1 tablet twice daily Improves skin texture and reduces discoloration External Application kumkumadi tailam Apply 4–5 drops at night, gently massage

Thank you doctor i will start this form today only . can it will help me to clear ?

Yes, this treatment will definitely help in reducing your melasma and improving skin clarity over time. However, since melasma is a chronic and deep-rooted condition, it does not clear overnight. With regular use of medicines, proper diet, and strict sun protection, you will start noticing gradual improvement in pigmentation and skin tone. Consistency is the key here. Avoid direct sun exposure, use gentle skincare, and follow the regimen sincerely. For complete and long-lasting results, we may need to adjust the treatment based on how your skin responds over time. So stay in touch and keep me updated on your progress.

thank you doctor can you recomende me the skin care like suncreen from which brand

I would strongly recommend using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50+ and PA++++, and applying it daily without fail. Reapply every 3–4 hours if you are stepping out or exposed to light for long durations. You can choose good quality options from trusted brands like Cetaphil, Neutrogena, or Minimalist—just make sure it suits sensitive skin and does not cause irritation. Do keep me updated after 3–4 weeks, so I can assess your progress and fine-tune your treatment for better and faster results.

avoid spicy food and milk and milk produts take manjisth kwath 5 ml 2 times day with water after foods do nasya with bramhi ghrth 5 ml at empty stomch at morning take mahatiktha ghurth 5 ml at empty stomch at morning

Namaste, Your concern — long-standing melasma that is gradually increasing — indicates pitta imbalance affecting skin pigmentation along with possible hormonal and sun-related factors. The focus should be on reducing pigmentation, cooling the system, and protecting the skin. Avoid excessive sun exposure, and always use physical protection like scarf or cap. Reduce spicy, sour, fried, and processed foods. Include cooling and nourishing foods like fruits (if tolerated), vegetables, and adequate hydration. Manage stress and maintain proper sleep, as hormones also influence pigmentation. Ayurvedic medicines with dose and timing: Amla Churna – 1 teaspoon, once daily in the morning Manjishtadi Kashayam – 15 ml with equal water, twice daily before food Kamadudha Ras (mild) – 1 tablet, twice daily after food External care: Apply Kumkumadi Taila at night (2–3 drops, gently) Use a paste of sandalwood + rose water 2–3 times a week These are traditionally used to help reduce pigmentation, improve skin tone, and support skin health when combined with proper care. Melasma takes time to improve — usually gradual lightening is seen over 6–8 weeks with consistent care. Avoid frequent switching of products. Consultation can help tailor this further to your needs.
