●Neem (Azadirachta indica): Possesses antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, helping reduce cyst inflammation and prevent infection. •Turmeric : Contains curcumin, which has strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, aiding in reducing swelling and promoting healing. •Aloe Vera : Soothes irritated skin and promotes healing through its moisturizing and anti-inflammatory benefits. •Guggulu : Enhances circulation and has anti-inflammatory properties, supporting the reduction of cyst size. •Triphala: A blend of three fruits that purify the blood, support detoxification, and eliminate toxins from the body. ●Turmeric and Neem Paste: A paste made from turmeric powder and neem leaves can be applied to the cyst to reduce inflammation and promote healing. •Aloe Vera Gel: Regular application of pure aloe vera gel helps in soothing the skin and reducing swelling. •Guggulu Oil: Massaging the affected area guggulu oil can improve circulation and alleviate pain associated with the cyst. ●If the cyst does not heal even after all these treatments, you will have to use methods like Agnikarma or Ksharasutra.

Thank you. I will try these suggestions.

Yes sure,most welcome🙏

✓Immediate Self-Care Warm compress = Apply a warm (not hot) cloth or heating pad for 10–15 min, 2–3 times daily. This can help reduce size and discomfort. Gentle massage = With warm sesame or coconut oil, lightly massage around (not directly on) the cyst 2–3 min daily. Rest the finger = Avoid repetitive gripping, heavy lifting, or pressure on that area. Immobilization = Consider a soft finger splint or buddy taping for a few days if discomfort increases. ✓Ayurvedic Support: Kaishore Guggulu – 1 tablet twice daily after food Triphala Churna – 3 gm at night with warm water ✓When to see a doctor: If the cyst grows rapidly, becomes painful or limits movement. For aspiration (draining with needle) or minor surgery = very effective and low risk for finger cysts. Regards Dr Gursimran Jeet Singh MD Panchakarma

Hello, A ganglion cyst on the finger is a fluid-filled swelling arising from a joint or tendon sheath. In Ayurveda, this condition closely resembles localised swelling/ lumps, often linked with kapha (fluid accumulation ) and vata (movement disturbance in joints) imbalance Since your cat is recent , small, mildly uncomfortable, and growing, this is a good stage for conservative Ayurvedic management -The cyst contains thick joint fluid (synovial fluid) It forms due to -minor joint stress repetitive movement -weak joint capsule or tendon sheath Ayurveda sees this as -kapha-> causes swelling/ fluid -Vata-> creates abnormal space/ structure Treatment goals -reducing cyst size -kapha-vata balancing -anti inflammatory -strengthening joints Internal medications 1) Kanchanar guggulu= 1 tab twice daily after meals for 8 weeks =best classical medicine for cysts, glandular swelling, granthi, helps break down abnormal growths 2) Guggulutiktakam kashaya= 15ml with warm water before meals twice =reduces inflammation, corrects deep tissue imbalance 3) Myaxyl capsule= 1 cap twice daily after meals =natural anti inflammatory, supports joint tissue healing 4) Gandharvahastadi kashaya= 15ml with warm water at bedtime External treatment 1) Murivenna oil= apply gently over cyst 2-3 times daily -do very mild massage (no pressure) =reduces inflammation, improves local circulation, prevents further fluid accumulation Home remedies -Warm castor oil application= apply warm castor oil at night, cover with cloth =helps reduce swelling -Turmeric paste= turmeric + little water-> apply locally once daily =anti inflamamtory effect -Epsom salt soak (optional)= soak finger in warm water 15 min daily Lifestyle and Activity advice -gentle finger movements -maintain joint mobility -use erogonomic hand positions Avoid -repetitive strain typing, gripping tightly -cracking knuckles -excess pressure on cyst Yoga(improves circulation and vata balance) -hand rotation exercises -wrist stretching -hasta uttanasana (gentle hand stretch) Pranayam -Anulom Vilom= 10 min daily -Bhramari= calming vata Diet -warm,light foods -spices= turmeric, ginger, garlic -green vegetables -moong dal Avoid -cold, heavy foods (curd at night, cheese excess) -oily, fried food -excess sugar -packaged food Reason -These increases kapha-> fluid buildup Expected timeline -2-4 weeks= mild size reduction -6-8 weeks= noticeable improvement -some cysts may persist but become harmless and stable When to consider other options If -cyst becomes painful -rapidly icnreases -interferes with movement Then -Aspiration (fluid removal) -Minor surgical removal Your case is early, mild, and highly manageable with Ayurveda, with consistent treatment -you can reduce or stabilize the cyst -avoid invasive procedures The key is patience + consistency (minimum 6-8 weeks) Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you

A pea sized ganglion cyst in this location on the upper side of the middle finger between the knuckle and first joint is a very common presentation and usually arises from the tendon sheath or small joint capsule filled with thick synovial fluid it is a benign condition and in many cases it remains stable or even reduces on its own over time you may notice a small rounded swelling mild tightness while bending the finger and occasional discomfort especially after repeated use but usually there is no redness or heat unless it gets irritated ACC to ayurveda it is due to Vata imbalance with accumulation of fluid and mild obstruction in the channels so the approach is to reduce the swelling improve circulation and support proper movement of Vata in that region massage over the cyst and surrounding area with warm Mahanarayana taila o after this do warm fomentation for five to seven minutes which helps in reducing stiffness and fluid stagnation Internally take Yograj guggulu one to two tablets twice daily after food with warm water Kanchanar guggulu one to two tablets twice daily after food Dashamoola aristha fifteen ml with equal quantity of water twice daily after food avoid dry cold and processed foods include warm freshly cooked meals like ghee and good hydration

Do: -Light, warm, anti-kapha diet -Turmeric + dry ginger Dont: -Excess cold, heavy, oily food -Repetitive strain without rest -Burst it with a needle or pointed object * As most ganglion cysts are painless and harmless and expaned only when subjected to excessive movement (in your case using a mobile, keyboard or writting) avoid the excess strain. Medication: Ksheerbala tailam Luke warm local application. Syp. Dashmoolarishta 3 tsp twice a day before food. Apply pressure by using a wrist band that covers the fingers as well (one used while ridding a bike) and keep for maximum time possible.

Namaste, ganglion cyst usually occurs due to excessive fat in the body …usually it can be easily remove through mild incision surgery or you can reduce size of it through medicine too Rx 1. Kanchnar guggulu 2tab with water after meal twice a day 2. Varunadi kashayam 2tab with water after meal twice a day 3. Avipati choornam 3gm with water before meal twice a day

Since you’ve noticed this pea-sized cyst on the dorsal (upper) side of your middle finger, you are likely dealing with what’s specifically called a Dorsal Digital Cyst. These are common and generally harmless, though they can become tender if they press on a nerve or interfere with your grip. Treatment Options Observation (“Watch and Wait”): If the cyst is painless and doesn’t limit your movement, most doctors recommend leaving it alone. About 30–50% of ganglion cysts disappear on their own without any treatment. Aspiration (Draining): A doctor uses a local anesthetic and a needle to drain the thick, jelly-like fluid from the cyst. Pro: Immediate relief and the bump disappears. Con: High recurrence rate (over 50%) because the “root” or stalk of the cyst isn’t removed. Surgical Excision: This is a minor outpatient procedure where the surgeon removes both the cyst and the “stalk” that connects it to the joint capsule. Pro: Lowest chance of the cyst coming back. Con: Requires a small incision and a brief recovery period for the skin to heal. Immobilization: Activity often makes a ganglion cyst grow. Wearing a small finger splint for a week or two can sometimes encourage the cyst to shrink by reducing the joint irritation that produces the fluid. The “Ayurvedic” Perspective In Ayurveda, this is often viewed as a Vata-Kapha imbalance where localized fluid (Kapha) is trapped by erratic movement or pressure (Vata). Internal Support: Kanchanar Guggulu (2 tablets twice daily after food) is the classic Ayurvedic choice for reducing “Granthi” (cysts or growths). External Application: Applying a paste of Karpoora (Camphor) and Warm Coconut Oil can help soften the area and reduce any mild inflammation. Prescription : Internal Medicines : 1. Varanadi Kwath: This is the primary choice for clearing growths and cysts. It helps in “Lekhana” (scraping) of the thickened fluid. Dose: 15 ml mixed with 45 ml lukewarm water. Take it twice daily on an empty stomach (30 minutes before breakfast and dinner). 2. Guggulutiktaka Kwath: Extremely effective for conditions involving the joints and deep tissues. It reduces inflammation at the root of the cyst. Dose: 15 ml mixed with 45 ml lukewarm water. Take it twice daily before meals. 3. Kanchanaradi Kwath: Specifically targeted at glandular swellings and cysts to prevent further growth. Dose: 15 ml with 45 ml warm water, taken twice daily. Warm Fomentation: After applying the oil, dipping your finger in warm salt water for 5 minutes can help the medicines penetrate deeper into the cyst. Rest the Joint: Since repetitive movement often “feeds” a ganglion cyst, try to avoid heavy lifting or repetitive typing with that finger for the next 2 weeks.

Best’ treatment in ayurveda for ganglion removal which is safe and easy way is to get Agnikarma or ksharkarma done. But Need to be done by an ayurvedic physician expert in both these field, on personal consultation Meanwhile you can start with Kanchanar guggul 2 -0-2 after food with water.

Ganglion cyst is a fluid-filled swelling from joint/tendon. It is usually harmless and can be managed without surgery if small. Do this: Do not press, puncture, or try to burst it Avoid repeated strain on that finger Use mild support or rest if overuse Apply warm compress for 10–15 minutes daily Gentle massage around the area (not directly pressing hard) Diet: Keep digestion good Avoid excessive sour, fermented, and junk food Include simple, balanced diet Medicines: Kanchanar guggulu 2 tablets twice daily after food Triphala guggulu 2 tablets twice daily after food Gandharvahastadi taila – apply locally and do gentle massage In many cases, it may reduce slowly or remain stable. If it increases in size, becomes painful, or restricts movement, then medical procedures like aspiration or removal may be needed. For proper monitoring and treatment guidance, you can consult me.

Ganglion cysts are generally harmless and, in most cases, do not require any active treatment. It is often best to observe them unless they cause pain, discomfort, or restrict movement. However, if you are looking for a solution, there are a few options available in Ayurveda: • Leech therapy (Jalaukavacharana) can be considered to help reduce the cyst and improve local circulation. • Ayurvedic surgical management may also be an option. This typically involves: • Poorva Karma (pre-procedural preparation) with appropriate medicines and therapies • A minor surgical procedure performed in an Ayurvedic setup • Post-procedure care (Paschat Karma) as per Ayurvedic principles Following a proper Ayurvedic protocol before and after the procedure can help in better healing and may reduce the chances of recurrence. It is advisable to undergo a proper consultation to decide the most suitable approach based on your condition.

There are so many treatment options in ayurveda for ganglion cyst. Some people will relieve by internal medicine itself. 1. Kanchanara guggulu 2-0-2 after food. 2. Punarnavasava 10ml twice daily just after food. But better and speedy results by excision and kshara prayoga. In ayurveda, acharya introduces kshara karma where internal medicines will not give results. Ksharakarma is a procedure where excision, incision and scraping can be done. Apamarga kshara application can be done under supervision of a MS doctor.
