Incorporating Punarnava (Boerhaavia diffusa) with Giloy (Tinospora cordifolia), Carica Papaya, and Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) could be beneficial for managing Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). Each of these herbs has unique properties that might support your condition, but their compatibility with your body type and current health status is critical.

Punarnava is renowned in Ayurveda for its rejuvenating properties, especially on the kidney and liver functions. It can help in reducing inflammation and is known to balance all three doshas, somewhat focusing more on Kapha reduction. It doesn’t typically aggravate Pitta, but given that you’ve mentioned being prone to underweight, it’s important to monitor its diuretic effect as it should not lead to further weight loss.

Giloy and Carica Papaya may increase platelet counts and are beneficial for boosting immunity. Ashwagandha, on the other hand, supports overall vitality and can help maintain weight by promoting muscle mass and strength. Combining these might provide a holistic approach to managing ITP, tackling immunity, inflammation, and overall vitality.

Since you’re already underweight, it’s essential to adhere to a nurturing, calorie-dense diet that doesn’t increase metabolism excessively. You could favor warm, oily, and grounding foods to add some bulk. Incorporating healthy fats and proteins, like ghee, nuts, or seeds, may help stabilize your weight while you’re trying these herbs.

Before starting these supplements, it would be prudent to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner or healthcare provider who can assess your specific Prakriti (constitution) and current state of health, ensuring these herbs are harmonized with your body without unintended effects. Also, regular check-ins are a must to adjust the approach as needed based on your response.

As with any condition involving immune and blood parameters, closely monitoring your health through regular blood tests can provide valuable insights, and any dramatic shifts should prompt reevaluation of the regimen. Remember, Ayurveda complements but does not replace professional medical advice.
