Hello kavi Thank you for reaching out and trusting this platform , you have mentioned that you get occasional grittiness in the ice upon waking noticeable weight gain over the past year and swelling in the feet while sitting it seems your body showing early signs of kapha vata imbalance Which can also involve deeper raaa dhatu ( lymphatic) and Medo dhatu (fat/ metabolic tissue) dusthi

The grittiness in the eyes and waking is often linked to excess kapha accumulating overnight, especially digestion is, this can also indicate early signs of ama that is under digested metabolic waste circulating in the system When ama starts blocking micro channels( srotas) dryness, and irritation in sense organ like the eyes can occur, even if momentarily The 10 KG weight gain in one year is significant in Ayurveda sudden or unexplained weight gain is usually due to impaired Medho dhatu agni-the metabolism, responsible for fat processing If diet is not change much, but weight is increasing, it often mean the body’s natural ability to burn or utilise nutrients is being blocked by excess kapha or ama Swelling in the feet while sitting suggest vata - kapha obstruction in the Udaya vata srotas (water regulating channels) possible due to fluid retention, this may be due to circulatory stagnation, poor, lymphatic drainage, or early renal insufficiency. While it is not necessary to panic is getting a basic kidney function test cbc is Advisable to rule out any underlying dysfunction. Include light, warm and easily digestible meals. Avoid salty, cold and oily foods. Daily light moment or yoga to stimulate circulation. Drink warm water throughout the day to stimulate digestion Punarnava mandoora- Gokshuradi guggulu- Chandra Prabha vati - One tablet each twice daily after food with lukewarm water Varunadi kashaya -10 ML with equal quantity of water twice daily before food Digestion, urination, and sleep should be monitored regularly. How is your blood pressure?? Do you have any past illness?? Have you recently checked your thyroid?? How us bowel/ bladder habit is?? Is digestion/ appetite good? Swelling in feet might be due to various reasons. Need to see along with swelling, weight gain. Any other associated symptoms are present or not. So it’s better to go for routine investigations, CBC RFT LFT thyroid profile ultrasound abdomen, and pelvis So we can evaluate properly and can start treatment accordingly

sahachardi taila - for external application- reduce swelling

but first go for investigations and kindly clear weather it is grittiness. or giddiness
