Yes, Panchatikta Ghrita can be used in your condition, but ichthyosis (chronic dry scaly skin since childhood) needs long-term internal + external care, not just one medicine. How to use Panchatikta Ghrita: Take 1 teaspoon twice daily on empty stomach with lukewarm water or milk. Start with this dose and continue for at least 6–8 weeks. If digestion feels heavy, reduce to ½ teaspoon twice daily. For better results, external care is equally important: Daily apply plain coconut oil or a mix of coconut oil + a little ghee on affected areas after bath while skin is slightly moist. Do not use very hot water for bathing. Use mild soap or herbal cleanser, avoid harsh soaps. Do gentle oil massage (abhyanga) 3–4 times a week. Avoid very dry, cold, and processed food. Include good fats like ghee in diet. Keep hydration good. Supportive medicines: Mahamanjishtadi kwath 15 ml with equal water twice daily after food. Khadirarishta 15 ml with equal water twice daily after food. These help purify blood and improve skin over time. Understand that this condition improves slowly. Regular use for few months is needed. If severe scaling, cracking, or infection develops, then treatment needs adjustment.

I understand your situation. For ichthyosis, there is no single tablet like paracetamol that can cure it, because this is a chronic skin condition that needs long-term skin care and internal support. Since Ayurvedic medicines may not be easily available to you, I will guide you with commonly available international options. First, the most important treatment is external skin care (this gives maximum relief): Use moisturizers containing: Urea (10–20%) Lactic acid (5–10%) Salicylic acid (2%) You can look for products like: Calmurid cream (urea-based) Ureka / Ureka-10 cream Any “Urea + Lactic acid” lotion available locally Apply 2–3 times daily, especially after bathing. For bathing: Use mild, non-drying soaps or syndet bars (like Dove sensitive or similar). Avoid hot water. For internal support (if you want something similar to Ayurvedic effect): You can take Omega-3 supplements (fish oil or plant-based) once daily Vitamin A (only low dose, do not take high dose without doctor advice) Vitamin E supplements These support skin health. If condition is severe: Dermatologists sometimes prescribe retinoid creams or medicines — but these should NOT be taken without medical supervision. Important: Panchatikta ghrita works internally for dryness, but in ichthyosis, regular moisturizing is more important than any tablet. So focus mainly on: Daily oiling or moisturizing Gentle skin care Long-term consistency

Ok i understand but as i am from Pakistan and i known only about panchathikta gritha medicine as you mentioned above that supportive medicine which i don’t know is .instead of this can you tell me an international brand medicine which is found in Pakistan here such as medicine formula like paracetamol etc.

For the condition you describe above we have to focus on snehana pacifying Vata and Kapha dosha and blood purification 1) Panchatikkaka Ghritham-1 tsp (5-10ml) with warm water empty stomach in the morning 2) Mahatiktaka Kwath-15 ml with 45 ml lukewarm water 30 minute before food twice daily 3) Manjishtadi Kwath Tablet-2 tablets after food twice daily 4) Psoria Oil or Eladi Thailam-Apply liberally over the body 30 minute before bathing 5) Lumbaton Oil (or Coconut Oil)- Light application immediately after bath drying from towel Drink warm water throughout the day avoid Harsh chemical soaps never use very hot water for bathing 10 minutes daily morning sunlight

External use: - Can be applied lightly on affected areas after warming slightly, especially in winter dryness. Duration: - Minimum 6–12 weeks of consistent use is needed to see improvement. - Long-term use is safe under supervision, but dose should be adjusted to digestion capacity (Agni). Rx 1.Gandhak rasayan 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 2.Arogyavardhini vati 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 3.Neem capsules 1 cap twice daily with water after meals 4.Mahamanjisthadi kwath 20 ml with 20 ml water twice daily after meals Lifestyle & Diet---- - Include: Bitter vegetables (karela, neem leaves, methi), green leafy vegetables, pomegranate, amla. - Avoid: Excess dairy, oily/fried foods, cold heavy meals. - Routine: Daily oil massage (Abhyanga) with sesame or coconut oil before bath. - Bathing: Use lukewarm water, avoid harsh soaps; herbal powders (like Ubtan with besan + turmeric) are gentler.

Hello, you are dealing with the classic “fish scale” texture associated with Ichthyosis vulgaris. Since this has been present since childhood, it is likely a genetic condition where the skin’s natural shedding process is disrupted, leading to the buildup of dry, thick scales. Panchatikta Ghrita is actually an excellent choice from an Ayurvedic perspective. It is a medicated ghee prepared with five bitter herbs (Neem, Patola, Vyaghri, Guduchi, and Vasaka) known for their blood-purifying and skin-soothing properties. Is it suitable for Ichthyosis? Yes. In Ayurveda, Ichthyosis is often categorized under Kshudra Kushta (minor skin diseases), specifically resembling Eka-kushta, which involves a dominance of Vata and Kapha doshas. The “Ghrita” (Ghee) base: Provides deep oleation (Snehana) to combat the extreme dryness of Ichthyosis. The Bitter Herbs: Help reduce any underlying inflammation or itching and improve skin metabolism. How to Use It To get the best results, you should use it both internally and externally: 1. Internal Consumption (Snehapana) Dosage: 1 teaspoon (approx. 5-10g) twice a day. Method: Mix it with a cup of warm water or warm milk. Timing: Ideally taken on an empty stomach in the morning and about 30 minutes before dinner. Tip: Drink warm water throughout the day to help your body process the fats effectively. Duration of Treatment Since Ichthyosis is a chronic, lifelong condition, you won’t see a “permanent cure” in a few days. Initial Phase: Use it consistently for 3 to 6 months to see a significant improvement in skin texture. Maintenance: Many people find they need to continue external application indefinitely, especially during winter or in dry climates, to keep the scaling under control. Important Clinical Notes Avoid Harsh Soaps: Use a soap-free cleanser or a natural herbal bath powder (Snana Churna) to avoid stripping more oil from your skin. Diet: Try to include healthy fats like flaxseeds or walnuts in your diet, and stay well-hydrated. Monitor Digestion: If you find the internal dosage causes heaviness or loss of appetite, reduce the amount and consult with a colleague or your local Ayurvedic physician to adjust the dose.

Hello, Yes- panchatikta ghrita can be useful in conditions like Ichthyosis, but it should be used properly and consistently, and ideally as part of a combined internal + external Ayurvedic management Your history since childhood, severe scaling, worse in weather changes indicates vata-kapha dominant skin disorder with dhatu dryness, so treatment should focus on -oleation -vata pacification -skin nourishment, mild detox 1) Panchatikta ghrita- how to use internal use main ole –5- 10ml once daily -early morning on empty stomach -Method = take with lukewarm water -for 6-12 weeks minimum start with5 ml for first 5-7 days then increase gradually to 10 ml External use -apply.a small amount on affected areas -leave for 30-45 min , then wash with lukewarm water -do this 3-4 times/week 2) Add these medications -Gandhak rasayana= 1 tab twice daily after meals =helps reduce scaling and improves skin texture -Mahamanjisthadi kashaya= 15ml + 45 ml warm water twice daily before meals =works on underlying skin metabolism External application 1)Nalpamradi taila= daily full body application before bath -keep for 30 min =this is essential for dryness + scaling control Daily routine -avoid very hot water baths (worsen dryness) -use mild herbal soap or green gram powder -apply daily oil before bath -drink enough water + include healthy fats ghee, sesame oil Diet -focus on -warm, slightly oily foods -ghee, milk , soaked almonds -avoid= excessive dry, cold, packaged foods and very spicy + fried items Expected results timeline -2-3 weeks= slight reduction in dryness -6-8 weeks= visible reduction in scaling -3 months= better skin texture (need consistency) Ichthyosis is chronic/genetic, so management-not complete cure -Panchatikta ghrita is safe, but -avoid if digestion becomes heavy (bloating, nausea) Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you
