Hello, First- this is not something to treat casually Seeing flickering lights/ flashes after a direct eye injury can indicate irritation or traction of the retina, In Modern medicine, this raises concern fr early signs of retinal detachment or vitreous disturbance, which sometimes starts exactly like this- even without pain, swelling or redness You should get an eye check (fungus exam ) within 24-48 hours. Ayurveda can support healing, but this symptoms needs ruling out serious damage first This is considered “Abhighataja Netra vikara” (trauma induced eye disturbance), involving -Vata aggravation-> flickering lights (like phosphenes) -Mild pitta aggravation-> subtle retinal irritation Ayurveda management 1) Immediate care (first 3-5 days) -strict eye rest (no screen, no bright light exposure) Avoid -rubbing eyes -late nights -heat/sun exposure Internal medications 1) Saptamrit lauham= 1 tab twice daily with honey =strengthens retina, reduces vata-pitta in eyes 2) Triphala guggulu= 2 tabs twice daily after meals =anti-inflammatory, supports healing after trauma 3) Mahatriphala ghritam= 1/2 tsp at bedtime with lukewarm milk =deep nourishment for optic tissues External therapies 1) Eye wash -use cooled triphala decoction (filtered very well) -once daily only if no irritation 2) Anu tailam nasya -2 drops in each nostril in morning =helps indirect nourishment of eye channels Diet very important -have more cow ghee -warm milk -green vegetables -amla (indian gooseberry) Avoid -spicy, fried, sour foods -alcohol -excess mobile/laptop use Consul immediately if you feel -increase in flashes -black spots/floater suddenly increase -curtain like shadow in vision -blurred or reduced vision Recovery expectation -mild trauma related flickering= 3-10 days improvement -If retinal involvement= need urgent care Ayurveda can support healing, but your symptoms is a classic warning sign after impact DO follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you
