For gout flare (high uric acid / Vatarakta), avoid excess imli/tamarind, curd, tomato, spinach, red meat, alcohol, and sour/spicy foods. Take Kaishore Guggulu 2 tablets twice daily after food with warm water. Guduchi Ghana Vati 2 tablets twice daily after food. Punarnava Mandur 1 tablet twice daily after food if swelling is present. Mahayograj Guggulu or Yograj Guggul – continue only twice daily, not 3 times unless advised. Kalmegh can be started again: 1 tablet or 10–15 ml juice twice daily after food for 1–2 weeks. For acute pain Apply warm castor oil gently on joints. Drink 3–4 litres water daily. At 130 kg, weight reduction will help a lot in preventing recurrent attacks.
