Why does Ashwagandha keep me awake even when taken in the morning? - #55033
Hello! I am using Ashwagandha extracts such as KSM-66, Shoden, and Sensoril for stress/anxiety. However, these are themselves preventing me from sleeping even if taken first thing in the morning (particularly Shoden and Sensoril). Even if I take prescription sleep medicines that always work, the ashwaganda somehow prevents them from working. The next day I also find myself still with decent energy and minimal fatigue despite little sleep. What might be causing this? Too strong of an extract? It happens even after 1 day of starting it. Does this mean it just doesn't suit me and I should try Tulsi / Holy Basil or something else? Thank You!
