For the past year, I've noticed my gums turning dark in color, and it's starting to make me self-conscious, especially when I smile in public. I smoke occasionally, maybe 3-4 cigarettes a day, but I've been doing this for years and never had any issues before. Recently, I read about something called oral pigmentation treatment, which caught my attention because I didn’t even realize this could be treated. I don’t know if it's just the smoking, though. I drink tea a lot too—at least 4 cups daily. Could this be contributing to it? My diet isn’t very balanced either, if I’m honest, and I don’t go to the dentist regularly. I’ve seen that some people have naturally dark gums, but this looks different, like it wasn’t there before. Can oral pigmentation treatment work for someone like me?
