Postpartum weight gain is quite natural but can be managed with a gentle approach aligning with your current symptoms. Let’s begin with addressing the weight and accompanying issues you’ve mentioned. It seems like Vata and Pitta dosha imbalances could play a role here. For postpartum weight loss, focus on igniting your Agni, or digestive fire, which may have dimmed after delivery.

Start each day with a glass of warm water with a pinch of lemon and a teaspoon of honey. This can boost your metabolism and cleanse your system. For meals, emphasize fresh, seasonal foods—homemade vegetable soups, stir-fried greens, and whole grains like quinoa or barley can be satisfying while balancing. Avoid processed foods, as they can further hamper Agni and aggravate thyroid issues.

To address constipation and acidity, include ghee in your diet. A teaspoon of warm ghee in a glass of hot milk before bed can aid in regular bowel movements and soothe acidity. Cumin, fennel, and coriander seeds are commendable for managing Pitta-related symptoms like hot flashes and headaches; brew these into a digestive tea to sip throughout the day.

Exercise is crucial, but don’t overdo it. Begin with gentle yoga or brisk walking 20-30 minutes a day to stoke your body’s innate balance slowly. Deep breathing exercises like pranayama can also ease stress and promote better thyroid function.

The grey hair and headaches might be a sign of nutritional deficiencies or stress. Include iron-rich foods such as leafy greens and dates, along with almonds and walnuts for omega-3s, which support hair health. Bhringraj oil massage can be calming and nourishing for your hair and scalp.

Ensure you periodically consult with your healthcare provider to monitor thyroid levels. While these Ayurvedic recommendations can support your journey towards health, they should complement professional medical advice, especially in managing thyroid conditions or persistent headaches. Always prioritize professional input for such concerns.
