how many pudin hara per day - #25790

Penelope

I am really confused about how many pudin hara per day I should take. I’ve been dealing with awful bloating and sometimes it feels like my stomach is just not settling, you know? A friend recommended pudin hara, saying it's a natural remedy and would help with digestion. I started taking it about a week ago, but I have no clue if I’m taking too much or too little. The package says to take only a few drops, but I feel like it’s not enough — I mean, how many pudin hara per day is actually safe? I’ve been using it whenever I feel discomfort, but today I had a really heavy meal and I think I might have overdone it with the pudin hara … just trying to figure out if that’s a good idea or something I should avoid! Also, I read some online that you can take it with water, but is that necessary? Feeling kinda lost and just want to make sure I’m doing the right thing. Any advice would be super appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Taking pudin hara is generally safe for occasional use to help with digestive discomfort, like bloating. Typically, the directions on the packaging suggest taking a few drops — usually about 5-10 drops mixed with water. It’s important to stick to these guidelines and avoid exceeding the recoemmended amount on a daily basis. Pudin hara is potent and taking excess amount of can sometimes lead to mild side effects like irritation or discomfort rather than the relief you’re seeking.

For bloating, the essential thing would be to identify the root cause. Bloating can often result from poor digestion or imbalances in the digestive fire, known as ‘agni’ in Ayurveda. To effectively address recurring bloating, you might want to consider evaluating your dietary habits alongside using pudin hara. Eating lighter meals, at regular times and avoiding foods that could disturb your digestion like fried, overly fatty, or spciy items can be helpful.

When using pudin hara, taking it with water doesn’t just dilute it, but also helps to ensure it’s absorbed properly in the stomach. Using it after meals when you feel discomfort rather than preemptively or in excessive amounts is ideal. Remember, moderation is key.

If you continue to experience significant bloating or discomfort frequently, it would be wise to consult with a healthcare professional or an Ayurvedic practitioner. They can offer a more thorough assessment based on your unique prakrti (constitution) and any dosha imbalances you might have. You mentioned heavy meals causing issues – you might starting with eating smaller portions and see how that affects your system.
