HELLO SAHIL,

You had varicocele, which is a condition where the veins around the testicles become enlarged and create heat and poor blood flow, This extra heat and congestion can damage the testicles over time, reducing their size and weakening sperm and hormone production- testosterone. You treated the varicocele, but its after effects- like shrunken testicles, low semen quality, body weakness, low energy, and loss of muscle- are still present

DIAGNOSIS IN AYURVEDA -shukra dhatu kshyaa= weakening of reproductive tissue - Dhatu kshaya especially mamsa and meda= loss of muscle and fat due to low nourishment - Ojas depletion= Ojas is the vital essence that gives strength, immunity, stamina, fertility, and mental clarity -vata aggravation- causes tissue dryness, shrinkage, and weakness

WHAT CAUSES THIS -heat and poor circulation ( from varicocele) increase pitta and rakta dushti -vitiated blood -tissue damage from chronic poor nourishment leads to vata vitiation, causing shrinkage and weakness. -improper diet, stress, and sexual habits may worsen the Ojas depletion

TREATMENT GOALS -restore testicle health= strengthen shukra dhatu - improve semen and sperm= build healthy shukra and rasa dhatu - improves muscle and weight= restore Ojas -balance hormones= calms vata and pitta, support digestion / metabolism

INTERNALLY

1) ASHWAGANDHA CHURNA= 1 tsp with warm milk in morning and night =builds muscle, testosterone , stamina

2) SHILAJIT CAPSULE= 500mg 1 cap twice daily in morning and night = natural testosterone booster, energizer

3) KAUNCH BEEJ= 5 gm powder with milk at night =improves sperm count and semen

4) SAFED MUSELI CHURNA= 3 gm with ghee in morning =aphrodisiac support strength

5) GOKSHUR CAPSULES= 1 cap twice daily after meals =improves urinary reproductive health

6) VRIHAT VATCHINTAMANI RAS= 1 tab in morning with warm milk = best in your case

EXTERNAL TREATMENT

1)WARM OIL MASSAGE-FOCUSED PELVIC MASSAGE- WITH SHATAVARI TAILA OR ASHWAGANDHABALA TAILA AREA- LOWER BACK,ABDOMEN,INNER THIGHS, AND GROIN AREA TIME- DAILY OR 3-4TIMES/WEEK DURATION- 15-20 MIN -ALWAYS WARM THE OIL BEFORE USE -USE GENTLE CIRCULAR STROKES OVER LOWER ABDOMEN AND GROIN -FINISH WITH A WARM TOWEL WIPE OR LUKEWARM SHOWER

2)LOCALISED HERBAL STEAM THERAPY -APPLIED AFTER OIL MASSAGE -HELPS IN VASODILATION-OPENS BLOOD VESSELS AND ENHANCES ERECTION -VERY USEFUL. IN NERVE RELATED ED OR WEAK SENSITIVITY -TAKE A BIG VESEEL OF HOT WATER WITH HERBS LIKE DASHMOOL,TRIPHALA,VACHA -COVER THE LOWER BODY WITH A CLOTH, LET THE HERBAL STEAM PASS ON THIGHS, LOWER ABDOMEN,BUTTOCKS DURATION= 10-12 MIN

DIET

MILK PRODUCTS= cow milk, ghee, panner, curd

PROTEINS= moong dal, urad dal, soaked almonds, black sesame

GRAINS= wheat, rice, millets-nachni/ragi for strength

FRUITS= banana, figs, dates, mangoes, pomegrante

HEALTHY FATS= ghee, sesame oil, coconut oil

OJAS BUILDERS= ghee+ honey(not mixed directly), dates, soaked almonds

SPICes= ginge, cardamom, cinnamon, cumin

prefer fresh, warm, cooked meals with good oil/ghee. AVOID SKIPPING MEALS

AVOID STRICTLY

-cold , raw foods= weakens agni - spicy, fried items= increases pitta and harms shukra dhatu - excess salt, sour, pickles= dries up shukra - tea/coffee in excess= drains Ojas - processed foods= no nourishment -alcohol/smoking= directly damage shukra dhatu

HELLO SAHIL,

YOUR SYMPTOMS -reduced testicle size (possibly tesicular atrophy) - suspected low testosterone(loss of muscle mass, weakness) -past varicocele(now cured with Palash flower) -poor semen quality(improving) - general body weakness and thinness

According to Ayurveda, the reproductive system is governed by Shukra dhatu, the final and most refined tissue layer. Varicocele and testicular atrophy indicate an imbalance in Vata and Pitta doshas, often leading to Shukra kshaya(depletion of semen and reproductive tissue)

AYURVEDIC MEDICATIONS

1) VRISHYA VATI= 2 tabs twice daily with milk = useful in oligospermia, poor libido, and mild testicular atrophy

2) YAUVANAMARITA VATI= 2 tabs twice daily after meals =enhances sexual strength, improvs semen

3) SPEMAN TABLETS= 2 tabs twice daily for at least 3 months = improves sperm count and quality

4) SHUKRA VALLABH RAS= 1 tab at night = chronic seminal weakness, poor libido, and erectile dysfunction

5) MUSLI PAK= 2 tsp with warm milk daily =nutritive tonics, rebuild strength and improves shukra dhatu

-NASYA= instill 2 drops of brahmi ghee in each nostril daily morning empty stomach

DIET

INCLUDE -warm, oily, nourishing foods - ghee, milk, almonds, sesame seeds -whole grains, root vegetables, dates, figs - cow milk + ghee daily

AVOID -dry, cold, stale or spicy foods - excessive caffeine, alcohol - smoking and processed food

LIFESTYLE AND REGIMEN

-OIL MASSAGE= ashwagandha taila- daily massage of lower abdomen, thighs, and scrotal area -early to bed, regular sleep cycle- crucial for testosterone production -gentle yoga and pranayam -bhujangasana -ashwini mudra - nadi sodhana to balance hormones and improves circulation

Full recovery varies, but 3 to 6 months of consistent ayurvedic treatment, diet and lifestyle usually show significant improvements in -energy levels and body mass - testicular size -semen quality and testosterone

HORMONE PROFILE TEST SHOULD BE DONE -total and free testosterone -LH,FSH -prolactin -semen analysis

THANK YOU

hello sahil, First of all, what you’ve gone through — varicocele and the impact it left — that’s not uncommon. Even if the swelling or discomfort is gone, the post-effect on testicle size, testosterone, semen quality, and body mass can continue for a while. The fact that you’re noticing slow improvement is a positive sign — it means the Shukra Dhatu is regenerating, just slowly.

Now, from an Ayurvedic lens, when we check through Nadi Pariksha, you’ll most likely show a Vata-Pitta imbalance. The Vata is drying and weakening the body mass, and the Pitta is disturbing your reproductive vitality. Plus, your Shukra Dhatu (semen tissue) and Mamsa Dhatu (muscle tissue) are undernourished due to past depletion. This leads to that weak feeling, lean frame, and dull energy. And yes, testicle shrinkage can happen after varicocele, but if blood flow improves and nutrition reaches deep tissues, they can regain some tone — maybe not the full size, but functionally enough to recover.

Ashwagandha Avaleha – 1 tsp with warm milk, twice a day (builds muscle, energy, testosterone) Makardhwaj Ras (Plain) – 1 tab morning with milk (don’t take gold or strong one now) Shatavari Kalpa – 1 tsp morning with milk (balances Pitta, nourishes reproductive system) Chyawanprash – 1 tsp at night with warm water or milk (supports ojas and semen quality) Kshirabala Taila (101) – 2 drops Nasya every morning after bath (strengthens brain–testes axis)

Massage : Once a week, apply Bala Ashwagandha oil around thighs, hips, lower back, and testicular area (gently). This stimulates blood flow and supports local regeneration.

Food tip:

Eat early, warm, ghee-rich food. Avoid late-night meals, junk, cold drinks. Add soaked black raisins, 1 date, 5 almonds every morning — this one habit alone helps Shukra dhatu more than many pills.

Realistically: 6–8 weeks to stop the downward trend. 3–4 months to gain strength, muscle, and better semen quality — if you stay consistent.

Don’t over-expect in 10 days, but the weakness will reverse. You’re young and your system is already trying to repair — Ayurveda just supports that deeply.

Also, if available, you can do Matra Basti (oil enema therapy) with Kshirabala taila or Ashwagandha taila weekly — very helpful for building energy and testicular recovery. Panchakarma centres usually offer this.

You’re on the right track. Just don’t rush. Stick to this daily and watch your body slowly rise back to its true power.

If you feel unsure, I’m here. Take care, Dr.Karthika

Dealing with reduced testicle size and low testosterone is indeed challenging, but Ayurveda offers solutions with natural remedies and lifestyle modifications. Firstly, understanding your prakriti (individual constitution) and any dosha imbalances is essential. Small testicle size and low testosterone may are often linked to vata or pitta imbalances.

To boost testosterone levels and improve body mass, consider incorporating ashwagandha into your daily routine. Take around 300-500 mg of ashwagandha powder twice daily with warm milk after meals. Ashwagandha is renowned for its rejuvenating properties and can help enhance stamina, vitality, and muscle mass.

Diet plays a crucial role, so aim to consume protein-rich foods like nuts, seeds, and legumes. Add healthy fats such as ghee, avocado, and coconut oil, which support hormonal balance. Dairy products like milk and buttermilk are nourishing, but keep an eye on any aggravations as these are kapha-dominant foods.

For digestive health, proper agni (digestive fire) is critical. A teaspoon of ginger powder with honey before meals can improve digestion, aiding nutrient absorption for better nutrition and muscle gain. Good digestion supports all dhatus (tissues), including shukra (reproductive tissue), which influences semen quality and male energy.

Implement daily lifestyle practices like meditation and yoga to mitigate stress, which affects hormonal health. Pranayama, especially bhastrika and anulom vilom, enhances vitality and balances energies.

Testosterone-related conditions can take some time to stabilize. Consistent application of these methods might take a few months to see significant improvements in body mass and strength. Monitor your energy levels and muscle tone as an indicator of progress, and if symptoms persist talk to an Ayurvedic doctor for personalized guidance.

Remember, each body reacts differently to treatments. Consistency with dietary and lifestyle changes will support your system as it gradually returns to balance.

Dr. Anirudh Deshmukh
I am Dr Anurag Sharma, done with BAMS and also PGDHCM from IMS BHU, which honestly shaped a lot of how I approach things now in clinic. Working as a physician and also as an anorectal surgeon, I’ve got around 2 to 3 years of solid experience—tho like, every day still teaches me something new. I mainly focus on anorectal care (like piles, fissure, fistula stuff), plus I work with chronic pain cases too. Pain management is something I feel really invested in—seeing someone walk in barely managing and then leave with actual relief, that hits different. I’m not really the fancy talk type, but I try to keep my patients super informed, not just hand out meds n move on. Each case needs a bit of thinking—some need Ksharasutra or minor para surgical stuff, while others are just lifestyle tweaks and herbal meds. I like mixing the Ayurved principles with modern insights when I can, coz both sides got value really. It’s like—knowing when to go gentle and when to be precise. Right now I’m working hard on getting even better with surgical skills, but also want to help people get to me before surgery's the only option. Had few complicated cases where patience n consistency paid off—no shortcuts but yeah, worth it. The whole point for me is to actually listen first, like proper listen. People talk about symptoms but also say what they feel—and that helps in understanding more than any lab report sometimes. I just want to stay grounded in my work, and keep growing while doing what I can to make someone's pain bit less every day.

Dr. Anjali Sehrawat
I am Dr. Anjali Sehrawat. Graduated BAMS from National College of Ayurveda & Hospital, Barwala (Hisar) in 2023—and right now I'm doing my residency, learning a lot everyday under senior clinicians who’ve been in the field way longer than me. It’s kind of intense but also really grounding. Like, it makes you pause before assuming anything about a patient. During my UG and clinical rotations, I got good hands-on exposure... not just in diagnosing through Ayurvedic nidan but also understanding where and when Allopathic tools (like lab reports or acute interventions) help fill the gap. I really believe that if you *actually* want to heal someone, you gotta see the whole picture—Ayurveda gives you that depth, but you also need to know when modern input is useful, right? I’m more interested in chronic & lifestyle disorders—stuff like metabolic imbalances, stress-linked issues, digestive problems that linger and slowly pull energy down. I don’t rush into giving churnas or kashayams just bcz the texts say so... I try to see what fits the patient’s prakriti, daily habits, emotional pattern etc. It’s not textbook-perfect every time, but that’s where the real skill grows I guess. I do a lot of thinking abt cause vs symptom—sometimes it's not the problem you see that actually needs solving first. What I care about most is making sure the treatment is safe, ethical, practical, and honest. No overpromising, no pushing meds that don’t fit. And I’m always reading or discussing sth—old Samhitas or recent journals, depends what the case demands. My goal really is to build a practice where people feel seen & understood, not just “managed.” That's where healing actually begins, right?

Dr. Ayush Varma
I am an Ayurvedic physician with an MD from AIIMS—yeah, the 2008 batch. That time kinda shaped everything for me... learning at that level really forces you to think deeper, not just follow protocol. Now, with 15+ years in this field, I mostly work with chronic stuff—autoimmune issues, gut-related problems, metabolic syndrome... those complex cases where symptoms overlap n patients usually end up confused after years of going in circles. I don’t rush to treat symptoms—I try to dig into what’s actually causing the system to go off-track. I guess that’s where my training really helps, especially when blending classical Ayurveda with updated diagnostics. I did get certified in Panchakarma & Rasayana therapy, which I use quite a lot—especially in cases where tissue-level nourishment or deep detox is needed. Rasayana has this underrated role in post-illness recovery n immune stabilization, which most people miss. I’m pretty active in clinical research too—not a full-time academic or anything, but I’ve contributed to studies on how Ayurveda helps manage diabetes, immunity burnout, stress dysregulation, things like that. It’s been important for me to keep a foot in that evidence-based space—not just because of credibility but because it keeps me from becoming too rigid in practice. I also get invited to speak at wellness events n some integrative health conferences—sharing ideas around patient-centered treatment models or chronic care via Ayurvedic frameworks. I practice full-time at a wellness centre that’s serious about Ayurveda—not just the spa kind—but real, protocol-driven, yet personalised medicine. Most of my patients come to me after trying a lot of other options, which makes trust-building a huge part of what I do every single day.

Dr. Hemanshu Mehta
I am Dr. Hemanshu—right now a 2nd year MD scholar in Shalya Tantra, which basically means I’m training deep into the surgical side of Ayurveda. Not just cutting and stitching, btw, but the whole spectrum of para-surgical tools like Agnikarma, Viddhakarma, and Kshara Karma... these aren’t just traditional, they’re super precise when done right. I’m not saying I know everything yet (still learning every day honestly), but I do have solid exposure in handling chronic pain issues, muscle-joint disorders, and anorectal conditions like piles, fissures, fistulas—especially where modern treatments fall short or the patient’s tired of going through loops. During clinical rounds, I’ve seen how even simple Kshara application or well-timed Agnikarma can ease stuff like tennis elbow or planter fasciatis, fast. But more than the technique, I feel the key is figuring what matches the patient’s constitution n lifestyle... like one-size-never-fits-all here. I try to go beyond the complaint—looking into their ahar, sleep, stress levels, digestion, and just how they feel in general. That part gets missed often. I honestly believe healing isn’t just a “procedure done” kind of thing. I try not to rush—spend time on pre-procedure prep, post-care advice, what diet might help the tissue rebuild faster, whether they’re mentally up for it too. And no, I don’t ignore pathology reports either—modern diagnostic tools help me stay grounded while applying ancient methods. It’s not this vs that, it’s both, when needed. My aim, tbh, is to become the kind of Ayurvedic surgeon who doesn't just do the work but understands why that karma or technique is needed at that point in time. Every case teaches me something new, and that curiosity keeps me moving.

Dr. M.Sushma
I am Dr. Sushma M and yeah, I’ve been in Ayurveda for over 20 yrs now—honestly still learning from it every day. I mostly work with preventive care, diet logic, and prakriti-based guidance. I mean, why wait for full-blown disease when your body’s been whispering for years, right? I’m kinda obsessed with that early correction part—spotting vata-pitta-kapha imbalances before they spiral into something deeper. Most ppl don’t realize how much power food timing, digestion rhythm, & basic routine actually have… until they shift it. Alongside all that classical Ayurveda, I also use energy medicine & color therapy—those subtle layers matter too, esp when someone’s dealing with long-term fatigue or emotional heaviness. These things help reconnect not just the body, but the inner self too. Some ppl are skeptical at first—but when you treat *beyond* the doshas, they feel it. And I don’t force anything… I just kinda match what fits their nature. I usually take time understanding a person’s prakriti—not just from pulse or skin or tongue—but how they react to stress, sleep patterns, their relationship with food. That whole package tells the story. I don’t do textbook treatment lines—I build a plan that adjusts *with* the person, not on top of them. Over the years, watching patients slowly return to their baseline harmony—that's what keeps me in it. I’ve seen folks come in feeling lost in symptoms no one explained… and then walk out weeks later understanding their body better than they ever did. That, to me, is healing. Not chasing symptoms, but restoring rhythm. I believe true care doesn’t look rushed, or mechanical. It listens, observes, tweaks gently. That's the kind of Ayurveda I try to practice—not loud, but deeply rooted.

Dr. Keerthana PV
I am an Ayurvedic doctor who kinda grew into this path naturally—my roots are in Kerala, and I did my internship at VPSV Ayurveda College in Kottakkal, which honestly was one of the most eye-opening stages of my life. That place isn’t just a college, it’s a deep well of real Ayurveda. The kind that’s lived, not just studied. During my time there, I didn’t just observe—I *practiced*. Diagnosing, treating, understanding the patient beyond their symptoms, all that hands-on stuff that textbooks don’t really teach. It’s where I learned the rhythm of classical Kerala Ayurveda, the art of pulse reading, and how Panchakarma ain’t just about detox but more about deep repair. I work closely with patients—always felt more like a guide than just a doctor tbh. Whether it's about fixing a chronic issue or preventing one from happening, I focus on the full picture. I give a lot of attention to diet (pathya), routine, mental clutter, and stress stuff. Counseling on these isn’t an ‘extra’—I see it as a part of healing. And not the preachy kind either, more like what works *for you*, your lifestyle, your space. Also yeah—I’m a certified Smrithi Meditation Consultant from Kottakkal Ayurveda School of Excellence. This kinda allowed me to mix mindfulness with medicine, which I find super important, especially in today’s distracted world. I integrate meditation where needed—some patients need a virechana, some just need to breathe better before they sleep. There’s no one-size-fits-all and I kinda like that part of my job the most. I don’t claim to know it all, but I listen deeply, treat with care, and stay true to the Ayurvedic principles I was trained in. My role feels less about ‘curing’ and more about nudging people back to their natural balance... it’s not quick or flashy, but it feels right.

Dr. Surya Bhagwati
I am a Senior Ayurveda Physician with more than 28 years in this field — and trust me, it still surprises me how much there is to learn every single day. Over these years, I’ve had the chance to treat over 1 lakh patients (probably more by now honestly), both through in-person consults and online. Some come in with a mild cough, others with conditions no one’s been able to figure out for years. Each case brings its own rhythm, and that’s where real Ayurveda begins. I still rely deeply on classical tools — *Nadi Pariksha*, *Roga-Rogi Pariksha*, proper *prakriti-vikriti* mapping — not just ticking symptoms into a list. I don’t believe in ready-made cures or generic charts. Diagnosis needs attention. I look at how the disease behaves *inside* that specific person, which doshas are triggering what, and where the imbalance actually started (hint: it’s usually not where the pain is). Over the years I’ve worked with pretty much all age groups and all kinds of health challenges — from digestive upsets & fevers to chronic, autoimmune, hormonal, metabolic and degenerative disorders. Arthritis, diabetes, PCOD, asthma, thyroid... but also things like unexplained fatigue or joint swelling that comes and goes randomly. Many of my patients had already “tried everything else” before they walked into Ayurveda, and watching their systems respond slowly—but surely—is something I don’t take lightly. My line of treatment usually combines herbal formulations (classical ones, not trendy ones), Panchakarma detox when needed, and realistic dietary and lifestyle corrections. Long-term healing needs long-term clarity — not just short bursts of symptom relief. And honestly, I tell patients that too. I also believe patient education isn’t optional. I explain things. Why we’re doing virechana, why the oil changed mid-protocol, why we pause or shift the meds after a few weeks. I want people to feel involved, not confused. Ayurveda works best when the patient is part of the process, not just receiving instructions. Even now I keep learning — through texts, talks, patient follow-ups, sometimes even mistakes that taught me what not to do. And I’m still committed, still fully into it. Because for me, this isn’t just a job. It’s a lifelong responsibility — to restore balance, protect *ojas*, and help each person live in tune with themselves. That’s the real goal.

I am someone who kinda grew into Panchakarma without planning it much at first... just knew I wanted to understand the deeper layers of Ayurveda, not just the surface stuff. I did both my graduation and post-grad from Govt. Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital in Bangalore — honestly that place shaped a lot of how I think about healing, especially long-term healing. After my PG, I started working right away as an Assistant Professor & consultant in the Panchakarma dept at a private Ayurveda college. Teaching kinda made me realise how much we ourselves learn by explaining things to others... and watching patients go through their detox journeys—real raw healing—was where I got hooked. Now, with around 6 years of clinical exp in Panchakarma practice, I'm working as an Associate Professor, still in the same dept., still learning, still teaching. I focus a lot on individualised protocols—Ayurveda isn't one-size-fits-all and honestly, that’s what makes it tricky but also beautiful. Right now I’m also doing my PhD, it’s on female infertility—a topic I feel not just academically drawn to but personally invested in, cause I see how complex and layered it gets for many women. Managing that along with academics and patient care isn’t super easy, I won’t lie, but it kinda fuels each other. The classroom work helps my clinical thinking, and my clinical work makes me question things in research more sharply. There's a lot I still wanna explore—especially in how we explain Panchakarma better to newer patients. Many people still think it's just oil massage or some spa thing but the depth is wayyy beyond that. I guess I keep hoping to make that clarity come through—whether it’s in class or during a consult or even during a quick OPD chat.

I am someone who kinda took the long road into Ayurveda, and maybe that’s why it feels personal everytime I talk to a patient. I started my clinical life as a duty doc at VBR Multispeciality Hospital—those shifts were long, and the learning curve was wild. But it taught me how to listen, really listen... and to not panic when ten things are going wrong at once. I dealt with all sorts of cases, some routine, some totally unexpected. That early exposure really shaped how I approach patient care today—head clear, eyes open, heart in it. Then in 2021, I set up Prakriti Healthcare. That was a big move. I wanted to build a space that was quiet but also healing—not flashy, just solid care. I started working more with chronic lifestyle conditions—people with sugar issues, stress burnout, PCOD, digestive messups. Using Ayurvedic tools but adjusting them to fit actual modern lives—like helping someone do a basic Dinacharya routine even if they had back-to-back meetings on Zoom. I’m not into textbook preaching. It has to fit into your life or what’s the point? In 2023, I joined Wellness by Heartfulness. That role honestly stretched me. Suddenly I was doing more community work, grounding my practice in mindfulness, Sattvik lifestyle principles, and supporting people who were looking for preventive answers, not just symptom relief. It made me realize how much people crave balance, not bandaids. Then Feb 2025, I started working as a medical reviewer with PharmEasy. That was different. I wasn’t treating patients directly, but I was helping people make better health decisions just by writing clearly, checking facts, simplifying confusing terms. It mattered, even if nobody knew my name on those articles. My goal? Keep learning, stay real, and always make sure whatever I’m doing actually helps someone—whether that's in person, on a call, or through a screen. Healing shouldn’t feel complicated. It should feel possible.

I am a Consulting Ayurvedic Physician practicing since 1990—feels strange saying “over three decades” sometimes, but yeah, that’s the journey. I’ve spent these years working closely with chronic conditions that don’t always have clear answers in quick fixes. My main work has been around skin disorders, hair fall, scalp issues, and long-standing lifestyle stuff like diabetes, arthritis, and stress that kinda lingers under everything else. When someone walks into my clinic, I don’t jump to treat the problem on the surface. I start by understanding their *prakriti* and *vikriti*—what they’re made of, and what’s currently out of sync. That lets me build treatment plans that actually *fit* their system—not just push a medicine and hope it works. I use a mix of classical formulations, panchakarma if needed, dietary corrections, and slow, practical lifestyle changes. No overnight miracle talk. Just steady support. Hair fall and skin issues often feel cosmetic from outside—but internally? It’s about digestion, stress, liver, hormones... I’ve seen patients try 10+ things before landing in front of me. And sometimes they just need someone to *listen* before throwing herbs at the problem. That’s something I never skip. With arthritis and diabetes too, I take the same root-cause path. I give Ayurvedic medicines, but also work with *dinacharya*, *ahar* rules, and ways to reduce the load modern life puts on the body. We discuss sleep, food timing, mental state, all of it. I’ve also worked a lot with people dealing with high stress—career burnout, anxiety patterns, overthinking—and my approach there includes Ayurvedic counseling, herbal mind support, breathing routines... depends what suits them. My foundation is built on classical *samhitas*, clinical observation, and actual time with patients—not theories alone. My goal has always been simple: to help people feel well—not just for a few weeks, but in a way that actually lasts. Healing that feels like *them*, not just protocol. That’s what I keep aiming for.

I am Dr. Maitri, currently in my 2nd year of MD in Dravyaguna, and yeah, I run my own Ayurvedic clinic in Ranoli where I’ve been seeing patients for 2 years now. Honestly, what pulled me into this path deeper is how powerful herbs really are—when used right. Not just randomly mixing churnas but actually understanding their rasa, virya, vipaka etc. That’s kinda my zone, where textbook knowledge meets day-to-day case handling. My practice revolves around helping people with PCOD, acne, dandruff, back pain, stiffness in knees or joints that never seem to go away. And I don’t jump to giving a long list of medicines straight away—first I spend time figuring out their prakriti, their habits, food cycle, what triggers what… basically all the small stuff that gets missed. Then comes the plan—herbs (single or compound), some diet reshuffling, and always some lifestyle nudges. Sometimes they’re tiny, like sleep timing. Sometimes big like proper seasonal detox. Being into Dravyaguna helps me get into the depth of herbs more confidently. I don’t just look at the symptom—I think okay what guna will counter this? Should the drug be snigdha, ushna, tikta? Is there a reverse vipaka that’ll hurt the agni? I ask these questions before writing any combo. That’s made a huge diff in outcomes. Like I had this case of chronic urticaria that would flare up every week, and just tweaking the herbs based on sheetala vs ushna nature... helped calm the system in 3 weeks flat. Not magic, just logic. I also work with women who are struggling with hormonal swings, mood, delayed periods or even unexplained breakouts. When hormones go haywire, the skin shows, digestion slows, and mind gets foggy too. I keep my approach full-circle—cleansing, balancing, rejuvenating. No quick fixes, I tell them early on. What I’m hoping to do more of now is make Ayurveda feel practical. Not overwhelming. Just simple tools—ahara, vihara, aushadha—used consistently, with some trust in the body’s own healing. I’m still learning, still refining, but honestly, seeing people feel in control of their health again—that’s what keeps me rooted to this.
