Addressing IBS-C can be quite challenging, especially when it intertwines with symptoms like anxiety, hairfall, dandruff, and disturbed sleep. In Ayurveda, constipation often relates to a Vata imbalance, indicating dryness and irregularity within the digestive system.

First, focusing on diet is crucial. Include warm, cooked, easily digestible foods. Start with a sample meal plan: moong dal khichadi in lunch and dinner, along with ghee, is great to balance Vata. Avoid dry, cold, or raw foods which can aggravate Vata further; opt for moist, oily, and spicy items to help balance this dosha. Breakfast should include warm cooked fruits like stewed apples with spices like cinnamon.

Drink warm water throughout the day, as hydration is key; avoid caffeinated drinks. Consider an herbal tea made from ginger and fennel to aid digestion.

Abhyanga, or self-massage with sesame oil, might offer relief. Perform this before taking a warm shower, it soothes the nervous system and helps in grounding the Vata dosha. For hair fall and dandruff, massage hair with Brahmi or Bhringraj oil weekly.

Regulate your sleep cycle by going to bed at the same time every night. Perhaps incorporate 1/4 spoon of nutmeg mixed with warm milk half an hour before sleeping. It might help calm the mind and promote sleep.

Engage in calming exercises like yoga focused on relaxation poses. Deep breathing practices or meditation can also soothe anxiety, indirectly improving digestion.

For persistent issues, consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner personally, as they might recommend specialized Panchakarma therapies. Remember to balance your equilibrium, as controlling anxiety and stress is also part of managing your digestive health. Always ensure any new regimen fits with your lifestyle and dietary needs.

IBS-C, or Irritable Bowel Syndrome with constipation, often stems from an imbalance in the Vata dosha, which can disrupt the digestive fire (Agni) and affect both the gut and mind. First, let’s address your diet. Consider incorporating warm, moist, and easily digestible foods. Cooked vegetables, whole grains like rice or quinoa, and warm soups can be beneficial. Avoiding dry, cold, or raw foods helps keep Vata in check.

Consider adding triphala powder, a traditional remedy that can help with constipation. You can mix half a teaspoon in warm water and take it at bedtime. It gently supports the digestive system, aiming to balance Vata without causing dependency.

Stay hydrated, as proper fluid intake is crucial for bowel movements. Aim for warm water throughout the day instead of cold. Herbal teas, especially fennel, ginger, or licorice, may support digestion and calm anxiety.

For sleep disturbance, try massaging the soles of your feet with warm sesame oil before bedtime. This not only grounds Vata but may also promote more restful sleep. Ashwagandha, an adaptogenic herb, may help manage anxiety and stress—consider a daily supplement, but always check for any possible interactions with other medications.

Physical activity is vital, but avoid high-intensity exercises if they increase anxiety. Opt for practices like yoga or Tai Chi, which harmonize the body and mind. These can also help with hair health alongside a nutritious diet. If your symptoms persist despite these changes, consider seeing a practitioner who is qualified to integrate Siddha-Ayurvedic insights into a treatment plan tailored to you.
