Your elevated amylase levels, accompanied by anorexia and weight loss, indicate potential issues with your digestive system, possibly influencing your pancreas. Ayurveda approaches such conditions by addressing the imbalance in doshas, agni (digestive fire), and cleansing the body.

Firstly, Ayurvedic understanding suggests this might be associated with Pitta imbalance, particularly affecting digestion due to excess heat. Emphasizing cooling and soothing strategies can be beneficial. Opt for a diet that’s light, cooling, and easy on digestion.

For your meals, consume kitchari made with white basmati rice and mung dal. It’s not only nourishing but also supports gentle detoxification. Ensure it’s spiced with turmeric and cumin, as these spices help balance Pitta and restore digestive strength. Include boiled vegetables such as zucchini and pumpkins, they’re easy to digest.

Hydration is essential, sipping on cumin-coriander-fennel tea throughout the day can enhance digestion while calming the dosha. Avoiding spicy, oily, and processed foods is critical since they can aggravate Pitta. Instead, cook with ghee, which is soothing for the digestive organs.

In terms of lifestyle, manage stress with practices like meditation or yoga, which can decrease Pitta levels in your body. Avoid midday sun and excessive heat exposure, which can further upset the dosha.

For enhancing your agni, consider herbal supplements like trikatu churna, taken under supervision of a qualified practitioner, as this blend can gently stimulate your digestive fire.

Given your symptoms and lab values, rule out any acute pancreatitis or severe conditions with a healthcare provider promptly. Ayurveda can support your healing, but it should work hand in hand with medical oversight, especially since imbalances affecting pancreas require careful management. Always consult with a healthcare provider for tailored guidance based on your complete health picture.

When dealing with elevated amylase and accompanying symptoms like anorexia and weight loss, it’s important to consider potential pancreatic inflammation or digestive imbalances. This could be related to Pitta aggravation, possibly affecting your agni. First, considering your unusual symptom, please consult a healthcare professional to ensure no acute condition is overlooked.

In terms of diet, a Pitta-pacifying approach can help. Opt for cooling, less spicy foods and increase dairy intake with items like fresh yogurt and buttermilk, which are soothing for Pitta. Incorporate cooked vegetables and whole grains like rice and oats. Avoid heavy, oily, and processed foods.

Herbs like Amla (Indian Gooseberry) can support digestion and detox the system—consume it as fresh juice or powder. Turmeric, with its anti-inflammatory properties, can be added to your meals in small quantities. If your prakriti allows, Aloe vera juice can also be beneficial, but make sure it’s consumed on an empty stomach.

For further Pitta balance, practice Pranayama, particularly Sheetali (cooling breath) for a few minutes daily, as it can calm the digestive fire and balance aggravated Pitta. Engage in regular light exercise like walking, which aids digestion.

Hydration is critical, so drink coconut water or warm herbal teas like coriander and fennel. This can sooth the system and promote proper elimination.

Monitor your progress and symptoms closely, and frequent check-ins with a health professional are advised to adjust the treatment plan as needed. Ensure any Ayurvedic remedies are harmonized with any conventional treatments you may be receiving.
