Addressing gastritis and dizziness requires a focus on balancing digestive function, which can often be influenced by an imbalance in the doshas, particularly Pitta and Vata. Gastritis suggests aggravated Pitta, leading to inflammation and acidity, while dizziness might be linked to Vata disruption, especially affecting the nervous system and digestive regulation.

First, dietary adjustments are essential. Avoid hot, spicy, oily foods, and caffeinated beverages as these aggravate Pitta. Favor cooling, easy-to-digest foods such as coconut water, rice, oatmeal, and milk. Incorporate cumin, coriander, and fennel into your meals, as these help pacify Pitta and aid digestion.

In your lifestyle, regular meal timings are vital. Eat smaller, more frequent meals rather than large, heavy ones. During episodes of dizziness, lie down flat and stay hydrated with room-temperature water or homemade ORS to stabilize Vata.

Herbal remedies can also be effective. A mixture of equal parts amla (Indian gooseberry) and licorice powder, taken with warm water twice a day, may soothe your stomach lining and reduce acidity. However, always consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner before starting new treatments.

To improve sleep and reduce nighttime symptoms, making a routine that includes relaxation techniques like meditation or deep breathing exercises is key. Practicing a warm oil massage (abhyanga) with sesame oil before bedtime can also ground Vata.

One should be aware of warning signs that require medical attention. If dizziness becomes frequent, or if there are episodes of severe pain, consult a healthcare provider as this may require further evaluation.

Monitoring your stress levels and focusing on a balanced lifestyle can help. Your symptoms are significant, so follow these suggestions closely, and don’t hesitate to seek additional medical advice if symptoms persist.

It sounds like your body is dealing with an imbalance, mainly involving pitta due to the acidity and vata due to the bloating and gas. Gastritis and hernias can often be linked to these doshas being out of balance. Your dizziness episodes at night might be related to vata imbalance as well, and could be linked to digestive issues affecting your system’s overall harmony.

First, managing your diet is key. Avoid spicy, oily, and processed foods as they can increase pitta and disrupt digestion further. Instead, include more cooling foods such as cucumber, coconut water, and leafy greens in your diet. Having meals at regular times and avoiding late-night eating can help stabilize your digestive fire, or agni.

For symptomatic relief, consider drinking a cup of warm water with a pinch of turmeric and ginger - this might help with bloating and improve digestion. Herbal tea made from licorice can also be soothing for inflammation in the stomach.

Establishing a bedtime routine can aid your sleep disturbance and dizziness. Try massaging your feet with warm sesame oil before bed to calm vata. Practice deep breathing exercises to ease stress, which can exacerbate gastric issues.

It’s critical to stay hydrated, as dehydration can also lead to dizziness. Your temporary relief from ORS suggests a need to maintain electrolyte balance. Avoid caffeine and alcohol, as they can worsen both gastritis and dizziness.

However, given the seriousness of recurring nighttime dizziness and your hernia condition, it would be wise to consult a healthcare practitioner to ensure there aren’t more serious underlying issues that require attention. Balancing your pitta and vata through appropriate lifestyle and dietary measures should assist, but don’t delay seeking medical advice.
