I need home remedy for Bartholyn cyst, - #32835

Have a Bartholyn cyst , and the size is 1 inch at right side of my vagina, from last 1 week,I have too much pain, and I need a home remedy of this.In this area there is lots of redness can you prescribe some medicines,that I can purchase in Canada, without any doctor prescription in Canada. Internally please have 1.Guluchyadi kwatham tab 2-0-2 before food 2.Thriphala guggulu 2-0-2 after food 3.Avipathy churnam 1tsp at bedtime with hot water 4.Thriphaladi churnam- for ext.application (mix with some warm water) apply over the area and leave it for 20-30min then wash it off

From home 1.Barley Water Boil 1 tbsp barley in 2 cups water-strain- sip throughout the day Acts as a natural coolant. So that helps to reduce the inflammation

2. Coriander Seed Water Soak 1 tsp coriander seeds overnight in water. Strain & drink in morning. Helps for Pita reducing and control body heat

3. Coconut Water with Gokshura Powder Add ¼ tsp Gokshura powder to coconut water (once daily).

✅ HOME REMEDIES (First Steps) 1. Sitz Bath (Warm Water Soak) – Most Important How to do it: Fill a clean bathtub or large basin with warm water (not hot). Sit in it for 15–20 minutes, 3–4 times a day. Why: This helps promote drainage, reduce swelling, and relieve pain.

2. Warm Compress Apply a clean, warm compress to the area for 15–20 minutes several times a day.

3. Epsom Salt Soak Add unscented Epsom salt (available in any pharmacy) to your sitz bath. Helps reduce inflammation and may encourage the cyst to drain naturally.

✅ OVER-THE-COUNTER (OTC) MEDICATIONS IN CANADA

You can buy these without a prescription at Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart Pharmacy, or other pharmacies:

1. Pain Relief:

Warm Compress: Apply a warm, moist cloth to the area for 10–15 minutes several times daily.

Good Hygiene: Keep the vaginal area clean and dry. Wear loose, cotton underwear.

Avoid Pressure: Try not to sit for long periods or use tight clothing that puts pressure on the area.

✅ HOME REMEDIES

☑️ WARM SITZ BATH (IMPORTANT)

Take a warm bath that covers your hip area for about 15 minutes, 2–3 times a day.

This can help soften the cyst, reduce swelling, and sometimes even allow it to drain on its own.

For added benefits, toss in ½ tsp of turmeric powder or 1 tsp of Triphala powder into the water for some extra antibacterial and anti-inflammatory goodness.

☑️ TURMERIC CASTOR OIL PASTE

Combine turmeric powder with warm castor oil to create a smooth paste.

Gently apply this to the swollen or red area (just on the outside). Turmeric helps lower the risk of infection, while castor oil can assist in shrinking the cyst. Aim to do this once a day before bed.

☑️ CASTOR OIL COMPRESS

Warm up a bit of castor oil, soak a cotton cloth in it, and place it over the cyst.

Then, put a warm water bag or hot compress on top for about 10 minutes. Repeat this daily (evenings work best). This method helps draw out inflammation and alleviate pain.

☑️ FENUGREEK (METHI SEEDS)

Soak 1 tsp of fenugreek seeds in water overnight, and drink the water the next morning.

✅ HERBAL SUPPLEMENT (easy to find online in Canada)

NO NEED TO WORRY DEAR,

First of all avoid excessive sweet,spicy,salty food etc.

And start taking these medications, 1.kanchnaar guggulu 2-0-2 for chewing. 2.Mahatiktak kwath 15ml with 30ml of lukewarm water empty stomach twice in a day. 3.Gandhak rasayana 1-1-1 4.Haridrakhand 4gm with lukewarm milk twice in a day.

* wash your affected area with Triphala kashayam +Turmeric powder 4 times in a week. *And with PANCHVALKAL KWATH thrice in a week.

Follow up after 15 days.

Hey dear, sending Home Remedies for Bartholin’s Cyst

1. Turmeric (Haridra) Mix ½ tsp turmeric powder with a little warm milk and drink once daily. For external use: Make a paste with turmeric + a few drops of warm castor oil. Apply gently around (not inside) the swelling.


2. Castor Oil (Eranda Taila) Compress

Castor oil helps draw out infection and reduce swelling. Soak a clean cotton cloth in warm castor oil, place over the cyst, and cover with a warm compress (like a hot water bottle) for 20 minutes daily.


3. Neem (Nimba)

Neem is antibacterial and helps in infection control.

Boil neem leaves in water, let it cool slightly, and use it as sitz bath water.

You may also apply neem paste (fresh leaves ground with little water) around the swelling.


4. Triphala Wash

Triphala has cleansing and healing properties.

WHAT IS BARTOLIN’S CYST? -Women have Bartholin’s glands near the opening of the vagina(one on each side). They make fluid to keep the vagina moist. -If the duct (tube that drains the gland) gets blocked, fluid collects-> forms a cyst (like a small balloon filled with fluid) -If bacteria infect it, the cyst can turn into an abscess (filled with pus, very painful, red, swollen)

In your case= 1 inch cyst, redness, pain=> this looks closer to infected cyst/ abscess

TREATMENT GOALS -relieve pain and swelling -encourage drainage of the cyst naturally if possible -prevent infection/treat existing infection -reduce recurrence by lifestyle and hygiene measures -support overall reproductive and immune health

HOME REMEDIES

EXTERNAL CARE

1) WARM SITZ BATH= sit in warm water (hip-deep) for 15 min, 3-4 times daily =helps open the duct and drain fluid= very effective must to do

Most ppl come here with stress-related problems, digestion issues, joint pain, that kind of mix. I go by classic diagnosis principles like prakriti analysis, dosha imbalance and all, but also mix in what I learned from modern side—like understanding their lifestyle triggers, screen time, sleep cycles, food gaps n stress patterns. I don’t rush into panchakarma or heavy medicines unless it’s needed... prefer starting with simple herbs, diet change, basic daily routine correction. If things demand, then I go stepwise into Shodhan therapies. My goal is to not just “treat” but to help ppl know what’s happening in their body and why its reacting like that. That awareness kinda becomes half the cure already. Not everything is perfect. Sometimes ppl don’t follow what you say, sometimes results are slow, and yeah that gets to you. But this path feels honest. It’s slow, grounded, and meaningful.

I use Panchakarma when needed, but also a lot of ahara-vihara tweaks, medhya herbs, sometimes just slowing ppl down a bit helps. I really believe Ayurveda’s power is in its simplicity when done right. I don’t try to fix ppl—I work *with* them. And honestly, every patient teaches me something back.

And when full shodhana is required, I plan it in detail with proper purvakarma & aftercare, cause that’s what makes outcomes sustainable. The last few years made me more confident not just in procedures but in the philosophy behind them. Panchakarma isn’t a quick fix — it demands patience, discipline, trust. But when done right, it gives relief that lasts, and that’s why I keep refining how I practice it.
