Siva Sankar Reddy, based on your history of recurring sinus issues despite surgery, Ayurveda suggests focusing on balancing the doshas, particularly Kapha, which governs mucus and congestion. A personalized approach would involve detoxifying the body through Panchakarma therapies like Nasya (nasal treatments) to clear blockages, along with Kaphahara herbs such as Tulsi, Turmeric, and Trikatu to reduce inflammation and promote respiratory health. A diet with warm, easily digestible foods, and avoiding cold or heavy foods would also help in managing the condition. Regular Pranayama (breathing exercises) and lifestyle adjustments can further support your healing process.

Dealing with recurrent sinus issues can feel quite frustrating, Siva. It’s like no matter what you’ve tried, it keeps coming back, huh? In Ayurveda, sinus problems often have ties to an imbalance of Kapha and occasionally Vata doshas, leading to mucus buildup and inflammation. After surgery and still facing these issues, it’s crucial to address the root cause, right? Let’s delve into some strategies you could consider for better relief.

First, diet plays a pretty big role. Try to avoid foods that increase Kapha, like dairy, cold foods, and anything too oily or heavy. Instead, go for warm, light meals—think soup or something spiced with turmeric and ginger, known for their anti-inflammatory properties. Drinking warm water with a pinch of turmeric and ginger after meals might also help clear excess mucus.

Stress and lifestyle? Biggie! A regular lifestyle can maintain balance and reduce symptoms. Try integrating a routine—wake up at a similar time each day, include some mindfulness practices or gentle exercise like yoga. Pranayama, especially activities like Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing), can be particularly beneficial to clear nasal passages and balance Vata.

Additionally, consider Nasya, an Ayurvedic treatment where medicated oils are administered through the nostrils. You can use Anu Taila or another prescribed nasal oil. Ideally, apply it early in the morning on an empty stomach or after hot steam inhalation to help the oil penetrate better and clear the sinuses. But check with an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting that to ensure it’s right for your current condition.

Meanwhile, keeping your living space free of dust and allergens with an air purifier could be a good idea too. Humidifiers in your room can keep the air moist, preventing irritation and easing breathing. So it’s about looking at everything – diet, lifestyle, environmental factors.

If symptoms get worse or start interfering majorly with your daily life, quick check-ins with a healthcare professional wouldn’t hurt either. In Ayurveda, balancing lifestyle changes with appropriate medical advice can offer the best of both worlds. Hopefully some of these tips bring a bit of relief and consistency to your healing journey. Stay patient and keep tuning in to what your body needs!
