Hello Shivanshi I understand your deep concern and stress regarding infertility. Please remember you are not alone, and Ayurveda offers holistic ways to strengthen your reproductive health naturally.

✅AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT

✅INTERNAL MEDICATION

1 Phala ghrita 1 tsp Morning Empty stomach follwed by warm water ( strengthens reproductive system)

2 Ashoka aristha 30ml-0-30ml after food ( helps to regulate cycles )

3 Shatavari Kalpa 1 tsp at bed time follwed bya warm water – Nourishes female reproductive system, improves egg quality & balances hormones.

I will recomend to take panchakrma therapy- 👉It will help in for natural conception. 👉If you are palnning for IVF it will increase its success rate

First month- Snehapana for 5 days follwed by virechana ( purgation therapy)

Second month - Uttar basti for 8 days Yoni pichu

✅SEED CYCLING Seed cycling works by providing the right nutrients (zinc, magnesium, lignans, healthy fats) during each half of your menstrual cycle to balance estrogen & progesterone naturally.

Phase 1: Follicular Phase (Day 1 – Day 14, i.e., from period start until ovulation)

👉 Seeds to eat daily Flax seeds (1 tbsp) – balances estrogen, supports healthy egg development. Pumpkin seeds (1 tbsp) – rich in zinc, promotes ovulation & egg quality.

✅ Method: Take roasted, ground seeds—can add to warm milk, smoothies, or sprinkle on food.

Phase 2: Luteal Phase (Day 15 – Day 28, i.e., from ovulation to next period) 👉 Seeds to eat daily: Sesame seeds (1 tbsp) – helps in progesterone support, balances hormones. Sunflower seeds (1 tbsp) – rich in selenium, supports luteal phase & implantation.

✅DIETARY MODIFICATION

✅Include warm, nourishing foods milk, ghee, soaked almonds sesame seeds, dates, figs. Use spices like cumin, fennel, cinnamon to improve digestion and hormonal balance.

❌AVOID- Avoid excess cold, packaged, junk food, sugary drinks—they increase Kapha and block reproductive channels.

✅ LIFESTYLE AND MODIFICATION

👉Yoga asanas: Supta Baddha Konasana, Setu Bandhasana, Bhujangasana (improve pelvic circulation).

👉Pranayama: Anulom Vilom & Bhramari to calm stress and balance hormones.

👉Maintain regular sleep (10 pm bedtime is ideal)

Shivanshi ji, stress and fear themselves can block conception. Many women conceive naturally when the mind-body balance is restored.

Please remember: IVF is an option, but do not lose hope in natural conception.

Wish you good health😊

hello shivanshi ,

I understand how stressful and overwhelming this must feel for you. Struggling with infertility for years, feeling like your body isn’t responding, and facing suggestions like IVF can make anyone anxious. First, it’s important to know that your concern is valid, and you’re not alone—many couples face similar challenges, and there are ways to improve your chances naturally alongside medical guidance. Stress and anxiety themselves can affect hormonal balance, so the first step is creating a calm, supportive routine for your body and mind.

Infertility often arises due to hormonal imbalances, ovulation issues, or low egg quality. Ayurveda focuses on strengthening your reproductive system, improving ovulation, and balancing hormones naturally. The approach works in layers: first, we remove any Ama (toxins) that may block proper metabolic and reproductive function, then we nourish your Ojas (reproductive energy) and support hormonal balance. This includes improving digestion, enhancing blood flow to reproductive organs, and calming stress, which are all important for natural conception.

Treatment Plan: 1. Ama Pachana (Detoxification – 3–5 days): Chitrakadi Vati – 2 tablets, twice daily after meals with warm water. Drink warm water frequently to support digestion and toxin elimination.

2. Snehapana / Internal Medication (After Ama Pachana, 3–4 weeks): Ashwagandha Churna – 3 grams at night with warm milk. Supports hormonal balance and reduces stress. Shatavari Churna – 5 grams with milk, twice daily. Nourishes reproductive tissues and enhances fertility. Kushmanda Rasayan – 125 mg, twice daily. Supports ovarian function and general vitality.

Maintain a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and seeds. Avoid very oily, spicy, or processed foods. Gentle exercises like yoga asanas: Bhujangasana, Setu Bandhasana, Supta Baddha Konasana, and Nadi Shodhana Pranayama to improve blood flow and reduce stress. Adequate sleep and stress management. Meditation or deep breathing for 10–15 minutes daily.

Investigations to Monitor:

Hormonal profile (FSH, LH, AMH, Progesterone, Thyroid). Ultrasound for ovarian reserve. Semen analysis for partner.

to Check Before Treatment:

How is your appetite, digestion, bowel movement, and sleep? Any recent stress, emotional pressure, or irregular routines?

With consistent treatment and lifestyle support, your body’s natural fertility can improve, sometimes even without IVF. The key is patience and consistency—Ayurveda works gently but effectively when followed fully.

You’re doing the right thing by seeking guidance, and with care, there’s hope for natural conception.

Warm regards, Dr. Karthika

Hlw Shivanshi ji,

You’re 26 and have been trying to conceive for 5 years with no success, and your doctor says it’s due to hormonal imbalance and poor egg development, suggesting IVF. You’re under a lot of stress — understandably. But you’re still young, and in many cases, natural conception is possible with the right holistic approach.

In Ayurveda, female infertility can result from:

Hormonal imbalance → often due to imbalance in Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Agnimandya (weak digestion/metabolism) → leads to poor nourishment of reproductive tissues (Shukra Dhatu). Blocked channels (Srotorodha) → e.g. in fallopian tubes or ovaries. Stress → disturbs Vata, affects hormones, ovulation, and mental stability.

Treatment:

🔸 Phal Ghritam

A medicated ghee that nourishes reproductive system, balances hormones. Dose: 1 tsp with warm milk on empty stomach in the morning.

🔸 Shatavari Churna / Capsules

Excellent for female reproductive health, supports ovulation. Dose: 1–2 capsules or 3g powder twice a day with warm milk.

🔸 Ashwagandha

Reduces stress, balances hormones. Dose: 1–2 capsules daily or 3g powder at bedtime with milk.

🔸 Dashmoolarishta

Balances hormones, improves menstrual health. Dose: 15–20 ml with equal water after meals.

🔸 Rajapravartini Vati

Regulates menstruation and supports ovulation (if cycles are irregular). To be used under strict Ayurvedic supervision.

2. Panchakarma (Detox Therapies) – Highly Beneficial

If you can visit an authentic Ayurvedic center:

Virechana (gentle purgation) – removes hormonal toxins (Pitta dosha).

Basti therapy (medicated enemas) – regulates Vata and strengthens the uterus.

Uttar Basti – a specialized treatment directly nourishing the uterus.

Thank You!

Addressing infertility and hormonal imbalances through Ayurveda requires a multifaceted approach focusing on your body’s unique imbalances and constitution. Since stress also plays a significant role, it might be further affecting your reproductive health, so adopting a holistic strategy can help support natural conception.

Firstly, understanding your dosha imbalance is crucial. Infertility often relates to an imbalance in the Vata dosha, which governs movement and activities in the body, including the reproductive system. To pacify Vata, emphasize warm, nourishing, and grounding foods such as cooked root vegetables, whole grains like rice, and healthy fats like ghee and sesame oil. Avoid cold, dry, and processed foods, as they might aggrevate Vata.

Incorporating Ayurvedic herbs can support hormonal balance. Shatavari and Ashwagandha are traditionally used to enhance fertility; Shatavari nourishes and strengthens the reproductive organs, while Ashwagandha balances stress hormones. Take these under guidance of an Ayurvedic practitioner, as they can recommend the correct form and dosage for your condition.

Routine lifestyle practices matter too. Establish a consistent daily routine, prioritizing sufficient sleep and relaxation techniques like meditation or yoga. Abhyanga (oil massage) using warm sesame oil can promote circulation and reduce Vata imbalance.

Lastly, ensure your agni (digestive fire) is strong, as impaired digestion can affect tissue health. Include spices like cumin, coriander, and fennel to boost digestion, and avoid heavy meals at night.

It’s essential to have regular consultations with an Ayurvedic specialist to adjust treatments as your body responds. Remember that Ayurveda requires patience; results may be gradual, and integration with your current medical treatments is crucial. Always discuss herbal supplements or lifestyle changes with your healthcare provider to ensure safety, especially if you proceed with options like IVF.

Addressing infertility linked to hormonal imbalance through the lens of Siddha-Ayurveda can help in understanding the root cause and ways to support your body’s natural functioning. Infertility often involves an imbalance in vata, which governs movement and communication within the body, including hormonal signals.

Firstly, focus on a diet that pacifies vata. Include warm, nourishing foods like cooked grains (especially rice), root vegetables, and ghee. Avoid cold, raw foods which can aggravate vata. You might also consider using herbs like Ashwagandha, Shatavari, and Guduchi, well-known in Ayurveda for supporting reproductive health.

Regular Abhyanga (oil massage) with sesame oil can help ground vata and improve overall circulation, crucially aiding hormonal balance. In your case, since stress affects hormonal levels, incorporating simple meditation or yoga breathing practices like Anulom Vilom might be beneficial. This helps in aligning mind-body functions.

Ensure your agni (digestive fire) is strong, as it’s essential for proper metabolism and hormone synthesis. Avoid heavy, oily, and processed foods that disturb your digestive fire. Integrating herbs like Trikatu (a combination of Ginger, Black Pepper, and Long Pepper) can boost metabolism.

It’s crucial to follow your medical doctor’s advice, especially when discussing IVF. Always align any Ayurvedic practices alongside your current treatment plan. If symptoms are severe or distressing, pursue immediate medical consultation to ensure you’re on a safe and effective path. Regular Ayurvedic consultation can offer personalized insights tailored to your specific prakriti and condition.
