cystocele - #17597
A few months ago, I started feeling this heaviness in my lower abdomen, almost like there was pressure pushing down. At first, I thought it was just bloating or maybe my posture, but then I started having trouble fully emptying my bladder. No matter how many times I went to the bathroom, I still felt like I needed to go again soon after. I also started noticing that when I cough or lift something heavy, the pressure in my pelvis gets worse. I finally went to a gynecologist, and after an examination, they told me I have a cystocele. The doctor explained that my bladder is dropping slightly into my vaginal area because the pelvic muscles are weak. They said it’s common after childbirth, and since I had a normal delivery three years ago, that could be the cause. Right now, it’s mild, and they suggested Kegel exercises, but they also said if it gets worse, surgery might be needed. I really don’t want to go down that path if there’s a way to fix this naturally. That’s why I want to know—can Ayurveda help with cystocele? Are there herbs or treatments that can actually strengthen the pelvic muscles and help lift the bladder back into place? I read that Ayurveda has therapies like Abhyanga massage and specific herbal formulations for muscle and tissue health, but do they work for cystocele? Also, is there a particular diet that helps with this condition? I’ve heard that constipation makes cystocele worse, and I do get constipated often, so maybe that’s adding to the problem. I also want to know if Ayurveda recommends certain yoga poses for cystocele. I used to practice yoga before pregnancy, but I stopped, and now I feel like my body is weaker overall. Would starting again help strengthen my pelvic muscles? If anyone has used Ayurvedic treatments or lifestyle changes for cystocele, did it work for you? How long did it take to see improvement? I really want to avoid surgery if possible.
