Hypersomnia - #17629
For the past few months, I’ve been feeling constantly exhausted, no matter how much I sleep. I used to think I was just tired from work, but even on days when I get 10-12 hours of sleep, I still wake up groggy and unrefreshed. It’s gotten to the point where I feel like I could nap anytime, anywhere. I read about hypersomnia, which is excessive sleepiness even after long hours of rest, and I feel like I might have it. I went to a doctor, and they said it could be caused by stress, diet, or even an underlying health issue. They recommended some tests, but I want to understand if there’s a natural way to fix this before resorting to medications. Can Ayurveda help with hypersomnia? Are there herbs or remedies that can naturally boost energy levels and help me wake up feeling refreshed? I’ve read about Ashwagandha and Brahmi being good for the nervous system—would these help regulate my sleep cycle? Also, are there Ayurvedic practices, like oil massages or morning rituals, that could help reset my body's natural energy levels? Another thing I’m wondering is whether my diet is affecting my sleepiness. I eat a lot of heavy, carb-rich meals—could that be making me more sluggish? Does Ayurveda recommend a specific diet to improve alertness and reduce hypersomnia? If anyone has struggled with hypersomnia and successfully treated it with Ayurveda, I’d love to hear what worked for you. How long did it take to feel more awake and energetic? I really want to find a natural way to fix this because constantly feeling tired is starting to affect my daily life.
