Namaste Lawal Oyedun, I understand that poor egg quality and hormonal imbalances can be deeply concerning when trying to conceive. In Ayurveda, this is often linked to Vata and Pitta imbalances, which affect Shukra Dhatu (reproductive tissue) and Garbhadharana Shakti (fertility potential). The goal is to nourish the reproductive system, enhance egg quality, and regulate hormones naturally. 1. Ayurvedic Herbs to Improve Egg Quality & Hormonal Balance • Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) – The best Ayurvedic herb for female fertility, enhances ovarian function and egg quality. Take 1 tsp powder with warm milk before bed. • Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifera) – Reduces stress-related hormonal imbalances. Take 1/2 tsp with warm water in the morning. • Maca Root & Licorice (Yashtimadhu) – Helps balance estrogen and progesterone levels. • Black Sesame Seeds & Almonds – Rich in Vitamin E and essential fatty acids to improve egg quality. 2. Diet for Strengthening Egg Quality • Include ghee, soaked almonds, walnuts, dates, and saffron milk to nourish the reproductive system. • Eat seasonal fruits, especially pomegranates, figs, and berries, to enhance fertility. • Avoid processed foods, excessive caffeine, and cold foods, which disturb hormonal balance. • Drink coriander & fennel seed water to detoxify the body and balance Pitta. 3. Lifestyle & Yoga for Fertility • Yoga Poses: Baddha Konasana, Bhujangasana, and Viparita Karani help improve blood flow to the ovaries. • Pranayama: Anulom Vilom and Bhramari support hormonal balance and reduce stress. • Abhyanga (Self-Massage): Warm Bala Tailam or Mahanarayan Oil on the abdomen to enhance circulation and egg nourishment. 4. Acupressure for Fertility • SP6 (Sanyinjiao – Three Yin Intersection): Located four fingers above the inner ankle bone, massage gently to regulate reproductive hormones. • KD3 (Kidney 3 – Taixi): Found behind the inner ankle, stimulates ovarian function and egg quality. 5. Colour Therapy for Fertility • Orange and Red Shades: These colors stimulate the reproductive system and enhance vitality. • Wear orange-colored clothing or keep an orange gemstone (Carnelian) nearby to improve fertility energy. Since egg quality takes about 90 days to improve, following this Ayurvedic approach consistently can help restore balance and enhance conception chances naturally. If you’d like a personalized fertility plan, I’d be happy to assist you further. Wishing you strength, balance, and motherhood soon.

Have you done tests like AMH, FSH, or thyroid levels to check ovarian reserve? A complete assessment will help tailor a better fertility plan. Include sesame seeds, soaked almonds, walnuts, ghee, and fresh fruits in your diet. Avoid processed foods, excess sugar, and stress, as they impact egg health. Practice gentle yoga and Pranayama for circulation.

Oh, egg quality can sometimes be quite tricky to navigate but Ayurveda has some insights that might just help you. Now, the chromosomal issues and hormonal imbalances you mentioned could indicate an underlying dosha imbalance, most likely Vata. But don't worry, that's not a dead-end in Ayurveda! We'll get into some things you can consider. First, think about your diet. You should include foods that are nourishing and sattvic (pure). Good fats like ghee and sesame oil could really help in nourishing the reproductive tissues (shukra dhatu). Don't forget warming and grounding spices like ginger and turmeric, which can help in balancing Vata. Next, lifestyle. Stress can mess up your hormonal balance big time, so try to practice yoga or meditation. Even simple pranayama (breathing exercises) can boost your prana and be very calming. Try to establish a routine, as irregular daily habits can disturb the delicate balance of your doshas. For herbal support, consider Ashwagandha. It's a rejuvenative in Ayurveda known for helping hormonal balance and it could give your eggs the boost, they need! Shatavari is another great adaptogen, particularly useful for women's reproductive health. Make sure your digestion is strong, though. An inefficient digestive fire (agni) can ruin your body's ability to get nutrients to those essential tissues. So keep hydrated and get the lohita rasa (red juices, like pomegranate) flowing in your diet. Lastly, I have to mention that while Ayurveda can provide support, it's essential to have your physician's go-ahead for any treatments you try, especially when chromosomal issues are involved. A measured approach that blends the best of modern and traditional practices might just be altogether more effective for your situation. Strengthen your connection to nature, balance your mind, body and who knows; sometimes baby miracles happen.
