Doctors’ responses
Hello satyendra, I understand the severity of your father’s condition with multiple myeloma and the complications surrounding his hemoglobin levels and bone fracture. In Ayurveda, treatment focuses on strengthening the body’s immunity, supporting bone health, and improving overall vitality. However, it’s crucial to understand his current reports and medical history more deeply. Could you share his most recent blood work, bone density reports, and any details about his infection levels or other underlying conditions? Additionally, how is he managing pain, and what treatments or medications has he been receiving for both the multiple myeloma and his fracture?
Can you explain more detailedly When he has been diagnosed?? Did he underwent any treatment for that?? For fracture any surgery performed?? When it happened?? How much was his last haemoglobin?? How about his daily activities??sleep?? Appetite??
Oh no, that sounds challenging. I’m sorry to hear about your father’s condition. With multiple myeloma, it’s essential to stay on top of medical care since it’s quite the serious thing, but Ayurveda can offer supportive care too.
First, let’s talk about lifestyle and diet. A super gentle approach is needed here. Encouraging foods that build ojas (vitality) might help, like ghee which is easily digestible. But considering his condition, you might have to consult his doc about dietary restrictions first. Small frequent meals are better than large, heavy ones. Soups or khichadi can be soothing and help maintain strength.
Balancing his doshas is key - this sounds like an imbalance between Kapha and Vata. Warm herby teas like ginger or tulsi might help with digestion, but do check how it matches with his medical treatments.
Bone health and healing are tricky, especially with a fracture. Ayurveda suggests herbs like Hadjod (Cissus quadrangularis) for bones, often taken in powder form with warm water. But given his situation, it’s crucial to talk to his primary healthcare provider to confirm it won’t interfere with other treatments.
For blood health, consider herbs like Punarnava and Manjishtha, which might help purify blood, but again, check with the doctor to ensure these don’t affect any medications he’s on.
And definitely, keep an eye on his infections! Immune boosting is so important. Take a look into Ashwagandha or Guduchi, but again, please consult, cause interactions with meds are a real concern.
Lastly, consider some relaxing practices; gentle breathing exercises if his condition allows, but don’t exert him, this isn’t a time to push physical limits.
Be sure he stays under consistent medical observation due to the seriousness of multiple myeloma. It’s a balancing act – extra care and coordination between traditional medicine and Ayurveda can make things a bit better. Stay strong!
