High rise epiglottitis, given your description, sounds serious and demands immediate attention. Emergency medical help is paramount, especially if you're experiencing low oxygen levels, brain fog, and overall weakness. While Ayurveda offers supportive care for recovery and general well-being, it cannot substitute urgent medical intervention in life-threatening situations. Once you're in a stable condition, Ayurveda can assist in strengthening your respiratory health and boosting your body’s overall vitality. Let's focus on post-treatment care, where Ayurveda can be beneficial: 1. **Strengthening Agni (Digestive Fire):** Improving digestion often is key in Ayurveda. Try sipping on warm water throughout the day. Small amounts of ginger tea can be supportive if inflammation has settled somewhat. Be cautious with herbs; ensure nothing interacts negatively with any medications you're taking. 2. **Herbal Support:** In a non-acute stage, herbs like Tulsi (holy basil), and Pippali (long pepper) may support lung health. Work under the guidance of a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner to tailor herb choices to your specific constitution. 3. **Dietary Changes:** Incorporate warming and easy-to-digest foods, like well-cooked rice, moong dal soup, and steamed vegetables. Avoid cold, heavy, or fried foods which can burden your digestion and respiratory channels. 4. **Pranayama:** Gentle breathing exercises can enhance lung capacity overtime. Begin with the simple practice of observing the breath. Avoid strenuous practices until strength returns. 5. **Lifestyle Adjustments:** Ensure ample rest is taken. Balance activity with rest, avoiding physical exertion. Maintain a regular sleep schedule to help the body recover its vitality. 6. **Hydration & Humidity:** Keeping the throat moisture can be helpful. Inhaling steam may provide relief, but ensure water temperature is not hot enough to cause discomfort. It's imperative that these steps should only be approached once ticking off pressing emergency care. Your health is paramount, so work closely with your healthcare provider, having prioritized your immediate safety.
