It sounds like you're experiencing symptoms often associated with hormonal imbalances, like excessive facial hair growth, which can be linked to conditions such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). It's important, before diving into any Ayurvedic interventions, to rule out or confirm such possibilities with a healthcare professional through appropriate tests, especially since you mentioned an ovarian cyst. If you've already done this and wish to explore Ayurveda, here's what I can suggest based on Ayurvedic principles. It's often about correcting the imbalance and restoring harmony in the body. According to Ayurveda, excessive hair growth and irregular menstruation might be due to an imbalance in the Vata and Kapha doshas. Here's how you can approach balancing these: 1. Diet: Your diet should be nourishing and supportive of balancing Vata and Kapha. Focus on warm, cooked meals. Incorporate spices like turmeric, cumin, coriander, and ajwain in your cooking, they can help with digestion and detoxification. Avoid processed foods, cold drinks, and excessive dairy. 2. Herbal Supplements: Consider using herbs like Shatavari and Ashwagandha, known for balancing hormones and supporting reproductive health. Consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner to determine the appropriate dosage and ensure they're suitable for you. 3. Lifestyle Practices: Regular yoga and pranayama can be beneficial in lowering stress levels and promoting hormonal balance. Specific postures, such as Parvatasana and Dhanurasana, might be suggested as they're known to stimulate the reproductive organs. 4. Face Care: For managing facial hair sensitively, try natural remedies such as a mixture of turmeric and chickpea flour (besan) as a scrub, ensuring you test it on a small skin area first due to your sensitivity. This can gently exfoliate and might help with hair lightening over time. 5. Cleansing: An internal cleanse can sometimes assist with cases of excess Kapha. An herbal formulation known as Triphala is often recommended for maintaining digestive health. Though Ayurveda offers a rich toolbox, an integrated approach with guidance from both modern and traditional healthcare professionals is usually the best route. Keep monitoring your symptoms and work with professionals to tweak your regimen as necessary.
