Excess acidity and upper belly pain can be linked to various factors, even with all tests showing normal results. This may not just be a question of current lifestyle but rather an issue of your doshas being imbalanced, particularly Pitta dosha, which governs digestion and metabolism.

Firstly, let’s focus on the diet. You might be maintaining a good diet, but it’s important to ensure you are eating foods that specifically pacify Pitta. Favor cooling foods such as cucumbers, melons, or leafy greens and avoid too much citrus fruits, nightshades (like tomatoes and potatoes), fermented foods, and excessively sour or salty items as they can aggravate Pitta.

Stay hydrated, but do avoid iced or very cold drinks, as they can hinder your digestive agni (fire). Instead, sip on room temperature water or herbal teas (fennel or licorice herbal tea could be very beneficial after meals).

Regular meal times are crucial. Try eliminating long gaps and overeating during meals to maintain a proper digestive rhythm. Eating smaller, more frequent meals can be quite helpful.

For immediate relief, you can consider ayurvedic herbs. A daily concoction of half-teaspoon amla powder (Indian gooseberry) and turmeric with warm water can be effective in soothing the stomach and reducing acidity.

Incorporate breathing exercises like pranayama into your daily routine. It can help in calming the stomach and reducing tension that sometimes appears as digestive discomfort.

On the emotional front, unmanaged stress and emotions like anger can be an unnoticeable contributor. Consider integrating meditation or yoga into your routine to balance the mental state which indirectly supports digestion.

Lastly, while Ayurveda offers many supportive measures, if ever pain worsens or persists, revisiting your healthcare provider is advisable. Continued monitoring ensures nothing crucial is overlooked.
