What is treatment for ED & PME ? - #25093
My age is 46. I have had Type 2 Diabetes since 2017. In my latest check-up last week, my blood sugar was 190 mg/dL before breakfast (fasting) and 220 mg/dL after meals (postprandial). For the past 2 years, I have been facing problems with erectile dysfunction (ED) — I no longer get morning erections, and when I do have an erection, it lasts only a few seconds. Ejaculation happens very quickly, often within a minute, and sometimes even just by touching, I ejaculate. I am interested in trying Ayurvedic treatment for this. I take 1 diabetes tablet in the morning and 1 in the evening as prescribed. I also often suffer from body pain and feel a loss of confidence.

Addressing both erectile dysfunction (ED) and premature ejaculation (PME) involves a holistic approach in Ayurveda, considering your underlying condition, diabetes. Firstly, to tackle ED and PME effectively, we need to focus on strengthening ojas, which is the essence of your vitality, and improving overall blood circulation. Given your diabetic condition, a key would be to balance your vata and pitta doshas, focusing especially on calming vata, which governs the nervous system.
Herbal remedies are an integral part of Ayurvedic treatment. Ashwagandha and Shilajit can be beneficial for strengthening and rejuvenation. Take ashwagandha powder (1 tsp) mixed with warm milk at night. For Shilajit, use a respected brand, taking about 500 mg daily as directed. Be cautious to select high-quality, pure products to avoid any adulteration.
Since diet plays a crucial role, incorporate warming and nourishing foods - like ghee, almonds, and walnuts which support both shukra dhatu and strengthens ojas. Reduce intake of excessively spicy and fried food that aggravate pitta dosha. Moderate sugar control is imperative, so focus on low-glycemic foods and follow your diabetes management, ensuring stable blood sugar levels.
Practices like Pranayama and meditation are highly effective in calming the mind, reducing stress, and improving blood circulation. Set aside 15-20 minutes for mindful breathing each day. Yoga, particularly asanas like Bhujangasana, Vajrasana, and Paschimottanasana can be integrated to stimulate energy and blood flow in the pelvic regions.
Ensure for proper sleep, set a routine, avoid late night meals and stimulants like caffeine and alcohol which may disturb your sleep patterns. Addressing the body pains, consider gentle massage with Mahanarayan taila to bring relief and enhance circulation. Please keep in touch with your healthcare professional to adjust your medication as per needs.
