Doctors’ responses

Hello Ank, elevated bladder neck is an anatomical issue so treatment has its limitations. but mangement depends on severity of the case. You can try taking 1. Tab Gokshuradi guggulu 1-1-1 before meals. 2. Tab Kanchanar guggulu 1-1-1 after meals for a month. Avoid tea/ coffee/alcohol as much as possible. Adopting a healthy lifestyle that supports urinary function and balances Vata is essential. Abhyanga (Oil Massage): A daily self-massage with warm sesame oil helps calm Vata and improves circulation to the lower abdomen and pelvic area. This can aid in relieving urinary discomfort and promote better bladder function. Mild Exercise and Yoga: Gentle exercises like walking or stretching and yoga poses that strengthen the pelvic floor and bladder muscles (e.g., Malasana (Squat Pose), Baddha Konasana (Bound Angle Pose)) can improve urine flow and reduce bladder discomfort. Avoid Holding Urine: Make sure to empty your bladder regularly to prevent strain on the bladder neck and urinary system. Stress Reduction: Since stress can aggravate Vata dosha, engage in relaxation techniques such as meditation, deep breathing (Pranayama), and Shavasana to calm the nervous system and promote better bladder control.

Elevated bladder neck can lead to urinary issues such as poor urine flow and increased frequency of urination. In Ayurveda, this condition can be addressed by focusing on balancing the doshas, particularly Vata and Kapha, which may contribute to urinary retention and bladder function. To support urinary health, consider incorporating herbal formulations such as Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris) and Punarnava (Boerhavia diffusa), which are known for their diuretic properties and ability to strengthen the bladder. Varuna (Crataeva nurvala) is another beneficial herb that helps in maintaining urinary tract health and alleviating issues related to urine flow. You can also try herbal teas made from Dandelion or Nettle, which can aid in detoxifying the urinary system. Incorporating Triphala into your routine can support overall digestive and urinary health as well. Additionally, maintaining a healthy diet that includes plenty of water, fruits, and vegetables while avoiding processed foods and excess salt can help. Gentle yoga and pranayama (breath control) can also enhance pelvic floor strength and improve urinary function.
