The way you describe your experience indicates a longstanding habit that might have affected your pelvic muscles and contributed to premature ejaculation. It’s important to consider this both from a physiological and an Ayurvedic perspective. Ayurvedically, premature ejaculation can be associated with imbalance in Vata and Pitta doshas, which may need addressing through diet and lifestyle changes.
First, consider focusing on strengthening the pelvic floor muscles through exercises like Kegel exercises. Practice them regularly by contracting your pelvic muscles, holding for a few seconds, and then releasing. This could help improve control during ejaculation over time.
In terms of diet, continue incorporating Gond katira (Tragacanth Gum) and Ashwagandha, as you mentioned they help. Gond katira is cooling and moisturizing according to Ayurveda, which can be beneficial for excess Pitta in the body. Ashwagandha is a powerful adaptogen that support overall vitality and stamina. Take Ashwagandha as a powder or tablet before bed with warm milk or water.
Additionally, add foods that enhance ojas – the body’s energy reserve and immunity. Include almonds, ghee, milk, and dates in your diet. Such foods help nourish the body’s tissues (dhatus) and might improve sexual stamina.
Keep an eye on stress and lifestyle factors impacting you. Practice yoga and meditation daily to calm mind and reduce tension which can exacerbate premature ejaculation. Breathing exercises like Nadi Shodhana (Alternate nostril breathing) are beneficial for balancing Vata.
It’s very crucial to we aware that abrupt stopping of supportives like Gond katira might result in symptoms returning, indicating need for consistency. For longer-term improvement, sustaining the recommendations over time is key, along with proper rest and balanced lifestyle.
Whenever you feel symptoms are more severe, or not improving, seeking further evaluation from professional can be necessary. An Ayurvedic practitioner can provide more personalized treatment based on your specific constitution.
Premature ejaculation can be linked to various factors, including pelvic muscle strength and nervous system sensitivity. In the Siddha-Ayurvedic framework, this condition is often related to an imbalance in the vata dosha, which governs the movement and flow within the body. Strengthening the pelvic region and stabilizing vata might help you achieve better control.
First, you might benefit from daily practices to strengthen your pelvic muscles. This includes pelvic floor exercises, commonly known as Kegels, which can improve endurance and stability. To perform these, contract the muscles you would use to stop urination, hold for a few seconds, then release. Repeat this 10-15 times per session, several times a day.
Secondly, consider incorporating herbs that help nourish the reproductive system. You mentioned gond katira and ashwagandha; these can be quite effective when used consistently. Prepare gond katira by soaking it overnight and consuming it with milk in the morning. Likewise, ashwagandha can be taken as a powder, mixed with warm milk or water, preferably taken before bed.
Beyond these remedies, follow a vata-pacifying diet—warm, well-cooked, and mildly spiced meals. Reducing caffeine and extreme mental stress is crucial as they can aggravate vata. Try incorporating ghee into your meals, which supports reproductive and overall health.
Consistency is essential with these remedies. Also remember, if you notice no improvement over time, it’s vital to consult a healthcare professional experienced in both Ayurveda and modern medicine for a comprehensive assessment. They can ensure there’s no underlying issue that requires more urgent intervention.
