Hello Haru, how many times do you pass stools? How is your appetite? How did the symptoms start exactly. Have you check your stools? Low hemoglobin can be due to lack of nutrient absorption due to diarrhoea. Here's an approach combining Ayurvedic principles and general dietary recommendations to support gut health and address acidity:
Medication-
Bilva (Bael Fruit): Known to stabilize bowel movements, bilva powder (1/2 teaspoon) can be taken with warm water twice daily.
Amla (Indian Gooseberry): Rich in vitamin C, amla can help soothe acidity and improve hemoglobin. You can take 1-2 teaspoons of amla powder with water daily.
Musta (Nutgrass): Beneficial for diarrhea, it balances digestion and can reduce acidity. Take 500 mg of Musta powder twice daily with warm water.
Dietary Adjustments:
Bland, Easy-to-Digest Foods: Continue with light foods like rice, moong dal, and well-cooked vegetables. Avoid oily, spicy, and acidic foods.
Probiotics: Add natural probiotics like fresh yogurt or buttermilk to support gut flora and improve digestion. Avoid if dairy worsens symptoms.
Fiber: Include soluble fiber sources like bananas and apples (cooked or peeled), which help bulk up stools without irritating digestion.
Hydration and Electrolytes:
Chronic diarrhea can deplete fluids and electrolytes, so drink water with a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon to restore electrolyte balance.
Cumin-coriander-fennel tea can help with both hydration and acidity.
Lifestyle and Eating Habits:
Eat Small, Frequent Meals: Large meals can overwhelm digestion and worsen acidity.
Avoid Lying Down Immediately After Eating: Wait at least 2 hours before lying down to prevent acid reflux.
Stress Management: Chronic stress can affect digestion, so consider practices like yoga or deep breathing to support gut health.
Improving Hemoglobin:
Iron-Rich Foods: Add iron-rich, gut-friendly options like cooked spinach, beetroot, and pomegranate juice.
Vitamin C for Iron Absorption: Amla or lemon juice can enhance iron absorption, improving hemoglobin levels.

Chronic diarrhea, particularly after consuming outside food, can indicate an imbalance in your digestive system, often referred to as Agni (digestive fire) in Ayurveda. Given your symptoms and the potential impact on your hemoglobin levels, it’s essential to adopt a holistic approach to restore digestive health and overall well-being. Start by avoiding all processed or outside food and sticking to a bland, easily digestible diet. Include foods like khichdi (a mixture of rice and lentils), curd rice, and steamed vegetables, which are gentle on the digestive system.
Incorporate digestive herbs such as Ginger (Zingiber officinale) and Ajwain (carom seeds) into your meals, as they can help stimulate appetite and reduce acidity. Triphala, taken at bedtime with warm water, can assist in regularizing bowel movements and improving digestion. For chronic acidity, a decoction of Amla (Indian gooseberry) can be soothing and beneficial, helping to strengthen the digestive system while enhancing hemoglobin levels due to its rich vitamin C content.
Stay well-hydrated, and consider adding warm herbal teas made with fennel or peppermint, which can help ease digestive discomfort. Also, avoid heavy meals and fried foods, as they can exacerbate symptoms. Regular practice of gentle yoga can improve digestion and reduce stress, which may be contributing to your symptoms.

Hey, it sounds like you're really going through it! Dealing with IBS, with diarrhea and acidity, can be annoying, no doubt. We can definitely try to manage this with Ayurveda. Let's dig into it.
First, the key here is balance your agni, or digestive fire, which seems to be out of whack. With chronic acidity and diarrhea, we might be looking at Pitta imbalance with some Vata playing mischief. So, you're right to stick with stuff like poha and dal chawal; they're generally soothing for Pitta.
But let's tighten this up. Look at eating at regular times - your body loves a schedule! Give warm, cooked foods preference and keep away from anything too oily, spicy, or processed. These can irate Pitta. Try having kanji rice or rice soup - it's easy on the stomach and balances Pitta and Vata.
Hydration is big here. Sipping on warm water, or herbal teas with fennel or coriander seeds can really settle things down. Plus, these help detoxify and clear acid build-up.
And don't forget about your stress - it seriously messes with the gut! Some yoga or pranayama might be your jam. Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) is particularly calming.
Because of the diarrhea, make sure you're replacing fluids - maybe an ayurvedic ORS with a little natural sugar, salt, and water. Since you mentioned haemoglobin, are you feeling fatigued or dizzy? If so, we gotta keep an eye on that.
For practical herb support, considering Triphala - good for digestion and absorption of nutrients. But remember, if symptoms are severe or you're feeling weak or experiencing significant issues with haemoglobin, it's important to connect with a doc immediately.
This ain't a quick fix, but patience is key. Give these steps a shot and see how your body reacts over a week or two. And don't be shy - reach out if you have more questions.
