When dealing with hyperthyroidism in Ayurveda, balance is key. First, let’s address the thyroid regulation. Hyperthyroid condition often linked to aggravated Pitta dosha. Aiming to calm this dosha can be effective. In diet, emphasize cooling and pitta-pacifying foods. Incorporate more sweet, bitter, and astringent tastes into your meals, such as leafy greens, cucumbers, and sweet fruits. Refrain from spicy, sour, and salty foods, which tend to aggravate Pitta.
For inflammation in the eye, herbs like Triphala can be beneficial. Triphala is known to detoxify and reduce inflammation. Consider using it as an eyewash; mix a teaspoon of Triphala powder with water and strain it. Use this liquid to gently wash your eyes. Additionally, sitopaladi churna may offer relief and support for reducing Pitta imbalance. Take about half a teaspoon with honey, twice daily.
To prepare for pregnancy, focus on nourishing the body by increasing ojas, the subtle essence of all dhatus that boosts vitality. Include ghee, almonds, and saffron in your diet.
