Understanding your situation calls for a multidimensional approach, especially when dealing with stubborn dark circles, unrelated to hereditary factors. From an Ayurvedic perspective, dark circles often indicate an imbalance in the doshas, particularly Vata and Pitta.

First, address your Vata balance. Ensure you adhere to a routine sleep schedule, ideally going to bed by 10 PM. This aligns with the natural circadian rhythms, aiding in adequate rest. Also, avoid late-night meals which can further disrupt sleep and Vata balance.

Focus on diet, incorporating foods that pacify Pitta and Vata. Consume more cooked meals with nourishing fats like ghee and reduce spicy and oily foods that might exacerbate the imbalance. Include vegetables such as spinach and carrots, they contribute vital nutrients that support skin health.

Hydration is crucial, aim to drink 2-3 liters of water daily. Staying well hydrated is essential, however, ensure that it’s room temperature or warmer to avoid Vata aggravation.

For topical care, consider Ayurvedic remedies like applying almond oil gently under the eyes before sleep. The vitamin E present in almond oil can help improve overall skin appearance. Another remedy would be an application of a paste made from fresh turmeric and buttermilk, then rinse after 15 minutes; Turmeric’s anti-inflammatory properties might be beneficial.

Regulating stress through pranayama practices like Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing) for 5-10 minutes daily may also help, as stress can contribute significantly to persistent dark circles.

Being diabetic, it’s essential to keep blood sugar levels in check. Regularly monitor and adapt your diet accordingly; an Ayurvedic nutraceutical Shilajit might help, but consult with a diabetic specialist first.

Make sure to avoid excessive screen time especially in the evenings, as it can strain the eyes and the surrounding skin. Sometimes, a small pad soaked in cold milk left over the closed eyes for 10 minutes can soothe tired eyes and brighten the area.

In any case these remedies should not replace medical advice; continuous professional monitoring is necessary for any chronic condition like diabetes which might serves as an muddying factor in addressing dark circles too. If these suggestions do not lead to improvements, seeking direct consultation with an Ayurveda specialist in-person who can evaluate your constitution subtlety and tailor a comprehensive plan might be ideal.

Dark circles can often be attributed to an imbalance in the doshas, particularly with vata and pitta, affecting the area around the eyes. Though diabetes complicates the situation, addressing your dark circles with a Siddha-Ayurvedic approach could offer some benefit.

First, let’s consider diet and lifestyle, which are major factors in managing dark circles. Ensure that your meals are enriched with nutrients that support liver and kidney function, as these are vital in processing toxins. Incorporate foods high in antioxidants such as amla (Indian gooseberry) and turmeric. Drinking amla juice in the morning, and adding turmeric to your meals, can help balance pitta and reduce inflammation.

Sleep is another critical aspect. Aim for consistent rest; 7-8 hours of unbroken sleep supports skin health significantly. Lack of sleep, or erratic sleep patterns, increase stress on the body, aggravating vata and contributing to dark circles.

Topically, consider using almond oil or castor oil gently massaged around the eye area. These oils stimulate blood flow and hydrate skin, which makes dark circles less prominent. Apply before bed and let it work overnight.

A decoction prepared from vetiver and sandalwood is beneficial for rejuvenating the skin. Mix about 5 grams of vetiver root with sandalwood powder, steep it in warm water, then strain and apply around your eyes with a cotton ball.

While your sugars must be controlled due to diabetes, keep a regular check on your agni (digestive fire) through simple digestive aids like cumin seeds soaked in water overnight and drunk on an empty stomach.

If these measures don’t bring improvement, consulting an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized evaluation of your doshic balance and subtle energy pathways may be necessary. Meanwhile, keep in mind, any worsening or new symptoms such as swelling or changes in vision need urgent medical review to rule out other conditions.
