Transitioning away from warfarin, an anticoagulant, should be approached with caution and close supervision from your healthcare provider, as sudden changes can lead to significant health risks. In Ayurveda, balancing your doshas, improving circulation, and maintaining heart health play a vital role in supporting the body gently without disrupting critical medication regimes.

To naturally assist blood flow and heart health, consider incorporating Trikatu into your daily routine. Trikatu, a blend of ginger, black pepper, and long pepper, stimulates digestion and supports circulation. Take it in the form of a churna (powder), approximately 1 gram with warm water before meals. Ginger, too, can be added to your daily diet, boosting your metabolisms, and encouraging better circulation.

Herbs like Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna) are revered for their cardio-protective properties. A decoction prepared from Arjuna bark or available as a powder or tablet may be beneficial. Take 500 mg to 1 gm twice daily with lukewarm water. However, please confirm this will not interfere with your existing medication.

Incorporate a sattvic diet, focusing on fresh, light foods that pacify Kapha and Pitta doshas &enhance circulation, including turmeric or garlic, which naturally support heart health. Limit excessive salt and oil intake, and prefer freshly prepared meals.

Yoga asanas like Suryanamaskar (Sun Salutation) and Pranayama practices, such as A-Viloma (Alternate nostril breathing), promote better oxygenation & reduce stress. Practicing for 15-30 minutes daily can support overall health.

Above all else, never discontinue warfarin or replace it with Ayurvedic remedies before consulting your healthcare provider to discuss and ensure safe transition, considering ongoing coagulation tests & observations are essential. This balanced integrative approach acknowledges your health goals while prioritizing your well-being.
