Mera weight reduce nhi ho raha, last 1 year se 5 kg increase ho gaya hai. I am 41 years old, last year tak Weight normal tha 56 kg near about now 63 kg within 1 year . Pls suggest me

Weight gain in your situation may involve multiple factors including dosha imbalances, lifestyle shifts, or dietary habits. Considering your prakriti—your unique constitution—and the sudden weight change, we might explore certain steps for balance. In Ayurveda, managing weight is about harmony, primarily focusing on improving metabolism and digestion.

Start with assessing your diet. Prefer warm, light meals which assist in balancing Kapha dosha commonly linked with weight gain. Avoid heavy, oily, and overeating. Favor cooked vegetables, grains like millet and barley, and spices boosting agni (digestive fire) such as cumin, black pepper and ginger. Begin meals with a glass of warm water to stimulate digestive enzymes.

Understanding your meal times is crucial. Try to have your meals at consistent times each day to maintain a healthy rhythm — lunch should be the largest meal when agni is at its strongest, ideally between 12 pm to 2 pm.

Exercise plays a significant role in weight management. Choose timing that suits your routine; early mornings are great for invigorating workouts. Aim for 30 minutes daily of brisk walking, yoga, or other heart-rate increasing activities. Ensure it’s at a comfortable pace.

Integrating Ayurvedic herbs can assist too. Try taking Triphala—a blend of three fruits known for detoxifying and metabolic support. Take 1 teaspoon with warm water before bed.

Adequate rest is essential; prioritise sleep quality and follow a consistent sleep pattern, aim for 7-8 hours per night.

Remember, any sudden changes or persistent concerns require a thorough check-up with a healthcare professional to rule out underlying health issues. Ayurvedic interventions are holistic and gradual, ensure you’re combining them with proper medical guidance especially for unexplained or rapid weight alterations.
