While you are currently on antibiotics for your sebaceous cyst, including Ayurvedic remedies can support your overall healing process. Sebaceous cysts often arise from an imbalance in the doshas, particularly Kapha, which governs fluids and tissue. The repeated filling with pus suggests underlying Kapha accumulation and perhaps a blockage in the channels.

An essential step in Ayurvedic management is to reduce the cause of any Kapha imbalance. Modifying your diet can assist this. Aim to consume lighter, warm foods, and reduce heavy, oily, or dairy-rich meals. Incorporate spices like ginger, black pepper, and turmeric, which are known for their anti-inflammatory and immune-supporting properties. A golden milk concoction: warm milk with a pinch of turmeric and a small quantity of honey before bed, can further support your body’s healing.

For external application, a paste made of turmeric and a little water applied to the cyst might help draw out toxins and reduce inflammation. Ensure the skin is clean before applying this paste, and avoid using it on open wounds.

Triphala, a well-known Ayurvedic formulation, helps detoxify the body. It could assist in purifying the bloodstream and supporting healthy digestion. You can take Triphala churna in warm water at bedtime, but it would be better to consult an Ayurvedic physician to determine the appropriate dose.

Maintain hygiene around the cyst’s area. It’s crucial to keep it clean and dry to prevent further infection. Avoid touching or squeezing it, as this could worsen the condition.

Since the modern treatment involves antibiotics, finish your prescribed course, as discontinuation might lead to resistance or incomplete healing. While Ayurveda can offer support, make sure to discuss these additional measures with your healthcare provider to ensure compatibility with your ongoing treatment.
