Doctors' responses
Based on the symptoms and your test reports, it seems like there could be an imbalance in your digestive and respiratory systems, impacting both Vata and Kapha doshas. The persistent issues with mucus and digestive discomfort suggests a Kapha imbalance, while the anxiety and restlessness reflect Vata disruptions. Here’s an Ayurvedic approach to consider:
1. Digestive Health: Start with Triphala churna, a classical Ayurvedic blend known for its digestive-benefit. Mix 1 teaspoon of Triphala churna in warm water and take it at bedtime. This can support bowel movements and help cleanse the colon.
2. Mucus Management: To ease post nasal drip, try drinking warm water mixed with a pinch of trikatu churna (a blend of ginger, long pepper, and black pepper) after meals. This may help reduce excess Kapha and clear mucus from your throat.
3. Anxiety and Stress: Brahmi and Ashwagandha are beneficial for calming Vata and reducing anxiety. Consider taking Brahmi churna about 1/4 teaspoon twice a day, along with a glass of warm milk, and Ashwagandha powder, 1/2 teaspoon with honey in the morning.
4. Dietary Changes: Avoid processed and oily foods. Eat warm, freshly prepared meals. Incorporate more ginger, black pepper, and cumin in your food to enhance digestion.
5. Lifestyle Practices: Yoga and Pranayama are excellent for balancing Vata. Practicing deep breathing exercises daily can significantly help with anxiety and overall well-being.
6. Liver Health Support: Since your LFT shows some imbalance, incorporating liver friendly herbs like Bhumyamalaki or Licorice (Mulethi) might be beneficial. Consult with a local Ayurvedic practitioner for proper dosage.
7. Overall Practices: Keep a regular meal schedule and avoid skipping meals to maintain Agni (digestive fire).
Remember, as you already consulted with doctors and had tests done, it’s important to keep discussing any significant changes or worsening of symptoms with them. The above suggestions will require consistency and time. Consider revisiting these aspects with a certified Ayurvedic practitioner for precise dosage and duration tailored specially for you.
