Doctors' responses
Spitting up small amounts of milk occasionally in a 1-month-old who feeds well and is gaining weight is usually normal. It happens because the baby’s stomach valve is still immature. Gas and colic are also very common at this age, and symptoms are often worse at night. Peaceful daytime sleep and night disturbance fits typical colic patterns. You can help by: Burping the baby during and after every feed Keeping the baby upright for 20–30 minutes after feeding Avoiding overfeeding Gentle tummy massage and bicycle leg movements Multiple colic medicines (Bonnisan, Digas Pedia, Ramogest, chuarqa) are usually not all needed together—using too many can sometimes worsen gas.
