For a 9-month-old baby, concentrated tulsi leaf juice is not usually the first recommendation because it can be strong/pungent for an infant stomach and throat. If you wish to use tulsi, give only very mild diluted tulsi water, not strong juice. How to give (if using): Wash 1–2 fresh tulsi leaves Boil in 1/2 cup water for 3–4 minutes Cool until lukewarm Give 1–2 teaspoons once or twice daily Do not give concentrated squeezed juice directly.
Cold and runny nose in babies is due to Kapha imbalance affecting the respiratory passages. Yes, Tulsi can be given in very small quantity, but only in a mild, diluted form for a 9-month-old. How to Give (Safe Method) Take 2–3 fresh tulsi leaves, crush and extract juice Dilute with 1–2 teaspoons of warm water Give 2–3 drops only, 1–2 times a day Do not give directly or in large quantity (too strong for infants) Better & Safer Support Warm mustard oil + garlic → apply on chest/soles (very mild) Keep baby warm Steam exposure in room (not direct steam) Continue breastfeeding
