Hello I get why you’re worried. The good news is, what you’re going through can be fixed, but we need to get on it ASAP.

Sitting in Vajrasana for that long every day for almost a year has put a ton of weird pressure on your blood vessels , nerves, and joints. That’s likely why you are feeling the way you do right now.

AYURVEDIC UNDERSTANDING

Based on what you’ve told me, it looks like:

1. Vata and Kapha are out of whack. Vata: Think nerve issues, hurting, stiffness. Kapha: Think bloating, feeling heavy, water retention.

2. Your blood and nutrient flow are blocked. Sitting too long = bad blood flow. Skin getting dark. Legs swollen, now your right hand, too. Cold/heavy feeling when you walk.

3. Joints are strained. Knee pain. Weak joints. Early signs of swelling.

This isn’t just a vitamin thing. It’s a blood flow, nerve, and joint issue caused by doing that posture way too much.

FIRST AND FOREMOST

STOP sitting in Vajrasana for hours, like, now. No yoga pose should be held for more than 20–30 minutes straight. This habit is the problem.

AYURVEDIC PLAN

INTERNAL MEDICATION

1.Yograj Guggulu – 2 pills, twice a day after you eat. ( Eases joint swelling and stiffness.)

2. Punarnavadi Guggulu – 2 pills, twice a day. ( Helps with swelling, boosts blood flow.)

3.Dashmoolaristha – 20 ml, twice a day. ( Fixes weak nerves and muscles.)

4.Ashwagandha Churna – Half a teaspoon at night with warm milk. ( Makes nerves and tissues stronger.)

EXTERNAL CARE

Daily oil rub: Warm Mahanarayan Taila or Ksheerabala Taila. Rub legs from your feet up for 10 mins. After: Warm bath or hot towel thing. This will: –Get your blood moving. –Help with skin color. –Build up muscles. –Help nerves flow.

EXERCISE AND LIFESTYLE

Every day: Walk 30–40 mins. –Rotate ankle. –Bend knees. – Lie down and put legs on a pillow.

Don’t: – Sit cross-legged. – Squat for long. –Hold any pose over 30 mins.

DIET PLAN

❌AVOID * Cold stuff. * Junk. * Too much tea/coffee. * Bakery stuff.

✅INCLUDE * Warm meals. * Ghee (1 teaspoon a day). * Turmeric. * Ginger water. * Soaked almonds. * Drink only warm water.

At 27, you can bounce back quick.

Important point Yoga wrong can make you sick. Vajrasana is good, but 7–8 hours a day? No way.

You can totally fix this if: * You fix your posture. * You get your blood flowing. * You chill out Vata.

Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

Yes this condition is reversible and at 27 years of age your body has very good healing capacity Sitting in vajrasana for 7 to 8 hours daily for many months causes continuous compression of veins nerves and lymphatic channels leading to vata aggravation poor circulation swelling pain and weakness The darkening of the legs indicates venous stasis and reduced blood flow and the appearance of hand swelling shows that the circulation imbalance has started becoming systemic This is not a vitamin deficiency problem but a posture induced circulation disorder and with proper correction it improves From an ayurvedic point of view this is vata dushti with rasa and rakta srotas avarodha Stop long floor sitting immediately and avoid squatting or cross legged posture for long hours Take Punarnava mandoor 2 tablets twice daily after food to reduce swelling and improve venous return Take Dashmool kwath 20 ml twice daily after meals mixed with equal warm water Take Yograj guggulu 2 tablets twice daily after food for joint pain stiffness and nerve support Daily warm sesame oil massage on legs and knees followed by gentle walking for 20 to 30 minutes will help restore circulation and strength and noticeable improvement usually begins within a few weeks and continues steadily over the next few months

HELLO, You have been sitting in Vajrasana for 7-8 hours daily for nearly a year. while vajrasana can be healthy in short duration, prolonged sitting in this posture puts constant pressure on your knees, calves, and feet, which can disturb circulation and strain joints and muscles The result of this Long term posture is 1) LEG WEAKNESS AND KNEE PAIN -caused by Vata imbalance, leading to stiffness, reduces strength, and nerve related discomfort 2) SWELLING IN LEGS -caused by kapha imbalance and poor blood circulation. Fluids are not moving freely, so swelling occurs in the lower extremities 3) DARK DISCOLORATION IN LEGS -due to blood tissue congestion from slow circulation 4) HAND SWELLING -indicates systemic circulation stress and that the problem is beginning to affect other parts of body OVERALL THIS CONDITION IS A COMBINATION OF -VATA DISTURBANCE= causing weakness, pain, stiffness -KAPHA DISTURBANCE= causing swelling and heaviness -RASA AND RAKTA DHATU STAGNATION= poor circulation and discoloration GOOD NEWS= at 27, your body can recover completely with proper care TREATMENT GOALS -reduce swelling and congestion -relieve pain and stiffness in knees and legs -sterengthen muscles and joints -improve blood circulation -restore balance of Vata and kapha doshas -prevent recurrence by correcting lifestyle habits INTERNAL MEDICATIONS 1) PUNARNAVADI KASHAY = 30 ml with warm water twice daily after meals =reduces swelling, detoxifies, improves kidney function 2) DASHMOOLA KASAHAYA= 25ml twice daily before meals with warm water = vata pacification, reduces pain and stiffness 3) YOGARAJ GUGGULU= 2 tabs twice daily after meals =strengthens joint and nerves 4) PUNARNAVA MANDUR= 1 tab twice daily after meals =improves blood flow, reduces discolouration 5) TRIPHALA CHURNA= 1 tsp with warm water at night =supports digestion, and detoxification EXTERNAL TREATMENTS 1) OIL MASSAGE= MAHANARAYAN TAILA -warm oil slightly and massage legs from feet upward to thighs for 15-20 min =improves circulation, reduces swelling, nourishes muscles and joints 2) STEAM THERAPY -mild steam or warm compress to legs after oil massage -avoid excessive sweating =helps open channels, relieves stiffness, enhances oil therapy benefits LIFESTYLE MODIFICATIONS 1) POSTURE CORRECTION -avoid sitting on heels (vajrasana) for Long period -use a chair with feet flat on the floor -stand or walk every 30 min 2) MOVEMENT AND ACTIVITY -gentle walking daily, even 10-15 min at time, improves circulation -avoid crossing legs or prolonged squatting 3) SLEEP AND REST -sleep before 10:30 pm to help Vata balance -eleavate legs slightly when resting to reduce swelling YOGA ASANAS -Pawanmuktasana= improves blood circulation -Leg lifts while lying down= strengthens muscles without stressing joint -Ankle rotations= reduces stiffness and swelling -Supta baddha konasana= gentle circulation support PRANAYAM -Bhramari= calming, improves circulation -Nadi sodhana= balances vata -5-10 min dail, seated comfortably DIET -warm, cooked food= rice, dals, porridge -vegetables= carrot, pumpkin, bottle gourd, beetroot -spices= ginger, garlic, cumin, turmeric -fluids= warm water throughout the day -avoid= cold foods, raw salads, fermented food, packaged snacks, excessive salt HOME REMEDIES -warm foot baths daily- 10-15 min -ginger or turmeric tea= improves circulation -massage with sesame oil on calves ad thighs daily -elevate legs when resting to reduce swelling -dry massage with herbal powders if swelling is stubborn Your condition Is reversible and discipline, lifestyle change, and Ayurvedic treatment Patience is key, initial improvement may take 2-3 weeks, full recovery usually 2-3 months Avoid long duration vajrarna and sitting postures that compress kneess With consistent care, you can restore strength, color, and circulation in your legs, and prevent future recurrence DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU DR. Yes—this can improve and often fully recover, especially at your age, if the cause is posture-related and circulation/muscle compression. But you should not ignore the swelling, especially since it’s in both legs and now one hand. What’s likely going on: Sitting 7–8 hours daily in vajrasana for months can compress blood vessels and nerves, slow circulation, strain knees, and cause dependent swelling, pain, weakness, and skin darkening. Reduced movement makes it worse. Good news: With regular movement, posture correction, physiotherapy, leg elevation, hydration, and time, many people improve over weeks to a few months.

Sitting 7–8 hours daily in Vajrasana for nearly a year has likely put excessive pressure on your knees, legs, and circulation. The symptoms you describe — leg weakness, knee pain, swelling in both legs, darkening of skin, and now swelling in your hand — are important and should not be ignored.

⚠️ Can This Be Cured? - Yes, improvement is possible if circulation is restored and pressure on joints is reduced.

1.Punarnanasava 20 ml with 20 ml water twice daily after meals 2.Kaishore guggulu 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 3.Ashwagandha tablets 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 4.Dashmoola kwath 20 ml with 20 ml water twice daily after meals

External Care: - Warm oil massage (Abhyanga) with sesame oil or Mahanarayan taila on legs and knees daily. - Hot water fomentation after massage to reduce stiffness.

🥗 Lifestyle & Diet - Stop prolonged Vajrasana sitting — limit to 10–15 minutes after meals only. - Walk or stretch every 30–40 minutes. - Elevate legs when resting to improve circulation. - Include iron-rich foods (dates, jaggery, spinach), protein (dal, milk, nuts), and ghee for nourishment. - Avoid excess salt and processed food (they worsen swelling).

Warm Regards DR. ANJALI SEHRAWAT

Don’t need to sit for sometime long in vajrasana, ,if need is to sit, then after 40, minutes, you should get up and walk for 5-10, minutes, as blood circulation will not be affected. Start with Gokshuradi guggul 2-0-0 after food with water Mahayograj guggul 1-0-1 after food with water. Do massage on both legs with ashwagandha oil+ mahanarayan oil once daily. Soak your feet in warm water with Epsom salt about 2tsp. Put in water.
