Doctors' responses
-You have severe hair fall with an itchy scalp, which may be due to a Pitta imbalance, especially since your diet is high in spicy and oily foods. You can use methi (fenugreek) paste or soaked seeds, but avoid taking it with very spicy foods. -Diagnosis : Pitta Prakopa leading to excessive hair fall (Roga: Keshabhransha) Treatment Plan: 1. Shodhana / Internal Medicines: Triphala Churna – 3 g at night with warm water (Pitta balancing, detoxifying) Bhringaraj Tablet – 2 tab twice daily with warm water (hair strengthening) 2. Shamana / Lifestyle & Diet: Avoid spicy, oily, and fried foods. Include cooling foods: cucumber, leafy greens, sweet fruits. Drink plenty of water and coconut water. 3. External Therapy: Coconut oil or Aloe vera oil – 2–3 times/week, massage gently on scalp. Methi (Fenugreek) paste – apply to scalp 1–2 times/week. 4. Dinacharya / Lifestyle Advice: Moderate exercise, avoid overheating. Manage stress with pranayama / meditation. Avoid harsh shampoos and chemical treatments. 5. Investigations : Thyroid profile, CBC, Iron/Ferritin, Vitamin B12. Follow-up: After 4 weeks to assess hair fall and scalp condition.
