Is it safe to apply clove oil on burnt skin for relief? - #54266
Is the consulting query. Free clove oil aply face burnt area it's dravya guna it's benefit relief
Doctors' responses
Applying clove oil (Clove oil) on burnt skin is not recommended in Ayurveda. Clove (Lavanga) has: Ushna (hot potency) Tikshna (sharp, penetrating nature) Burns are a Pitta-dominant condition (heat + inflammation) Applying a hot and sharp dravya like clove oil can increase burning, irritation, and delay healing Avoid Clove oil directly on burns Any strong essential oils Heat exposure, spicy food What to Use Instead (Safe Ayurvedic Options) Aloe vera gel – cooling, healing Shatadhauta Ghrita – excellent for burn soothing Coconut oil (only after initial heat reduces) Cold water wash immediately after burn Regards Dr shashank Aggarwal Ayurveda consultant
