Your condition is similar to Lichen Amyloidosis, which in Ayurveda can be understood as a Kaph-Vata dominant skin disorder with involvement of Rakta (blood tissue). Due to imbalance of Vata (causing dryness and itching) and Kapha (causing thickening and darkening of skin), along with mild Rakta dushti, the skin becomes itchy, rough, and pigmented. The repeated itching and rubbing further aggravate Vata and damage the skin, creating a cycle. So treatment focuses on: Reducing itching (Vata shaman) Improving skin texture and pigmentation (Kapha & Rakta shuddhi) Breaking the itch–scratch cycle With proper internal medicines, external applications, and lifestyle care, the condition can be controlled gradually. - --Rx: 1) Tab. It is a chronic skin condition where repeated scratching leads to protein (amyloid) deposition in skin → causing dark, thick, itchy patches. In Ayurveda, it relates to Vata–Kapha imbalance with Rakta (blood) dushti. 1. Internal medicines Khadirarishta – for blood purification Mahamanjisthadi Kwath – reduces pigmentation Gandhak Rasayan – helps itching & skin healing Arogyavardhini Vati – supports metabolism & detox 2. External care: Apply Neem oil or Kumkumadi taila on dark areas Use Aloe vera gel + turmeric for soothing & lightening Avoid harsh soaps; use herbal cleansers (neem, chandan) 3. Itching control: Do not scratch (it worsens pigmentation) Use cooling oils (coconut + camphor pinch) 4. Diet & lifestyle: Avoid: spicy, oily, junk, fermented food Take: neem, amla, green vegetables, plenty of water Maintain regular bowel habits (important for skin health)
